  1. I would think the one near the turbo would activate before the one near the TB.
  2. Yeah. You canfind TIG welders for cheap if you know where to look. Loo for auto shops or metal working shops that are going out of business. I could of gotten a working lincoln for $200 but I would had to travel 3 hours and it was a 3 phase welder so I wouldn't be able to use it if I did even buy it. Plus the thing was huge, it was on its own trailer.
  3. Also see if your vacuum advance on the dizzy is working, and see if your spark plugs are fouled.
  4. I've used that stuff to fix a alluminum radiator in my blazer. just make sure you clean the area properly, I strouted a leak a week later and fixed it right.

    fuel ecu trick

I don't think that would work for a L6 or a L4 motor. From what I understand from what I've read, you are decreasing the air flow that the ecu sees by placing the MAF sensor on one side of the intake (v6, v8, I4, I6 engines). Doesn't really matter because most of our ecus are stupid and don'y really have a problem with switching injectors.
  6. If I recall, all the people that posted there MPG numbers, that I read, were running either strokers, turbos, or both.
  7. There is no daignostic on the ecu. These were made before OBD I. OBD I came out in 91 I believe and stands for On Board Diagnostic. Only thing the I believe to a monitor would be the LED on the ZX ECUs that I believe was used to see if th O2 sensor was out.
  8. I like as well. front doesn't stick out as far as the gnose version.
  9. I don't know. I'm guessing the inlet of the IC. Would help with response to surges
  10. Yeah but hes also running a stroker along with a turbo.
  11. I wouldn't think that hard because they are suppose to test it in accordance to what year the engine was made and emmissions standards of that year.
  12. Haha nice find, but I don't think I want that going off on me on accident.
  13. Seems to good to be true. $299 for SR20de. The engine isn't even turboed (SR20DET) and no tranny. I don't know, something seems fishy. My honest opinion is to pass it up.
  14. If i had a set of those, I would moon everybody from my wheels:mrgreen:. A different a$$ for every wheel: black, white, yellow, and brown. No need to discriminate lol:mrgreen:
  15. You can give me the old ones:mrgreen:. I read that most people trim the lip on the old qtr panels and bond/rivet them on there. The old front fenders wieght like 10-15 lbs. each so you would be saving a bit in the front from stock.

    Oh Boy

It looks fugly from any view IMO.
  17. check your brake porportions. Did you spin out? if so then you r rear has to much brakeing force. If you just slid forward then it could be a little to much to the front. Since these cars don't have ABS, when you start to slide when braking , DON"T slam on the brake like most peoples' natural reaction. start tapping the brake, this is what I have to do sometimes in the winter time with my jeep.
  18. Oh I only read the first 2 parts. Wide Tires, wet = hydroplaining studded tires are what you want for winter if you want to go wider for snow. A wider track helps the cars handling. But seeing taht you are front SF, I would suggest at least a good tread deign with what ever you go with.
  19. I wouldn't see why ZG flares won't fit a zx. Supra510 has them on his 510 and they look like they fit pretty well. The flares have suppose to flex a little so it will give you a little play to get them to fit. I know "Blackdragon" (aka Victoria British) has steel flares for zx but they aren't ZG flares.
  20. I agree with jmortensen. Your are probably going to have to fab part of a new firewall, but on a build like this, what aren't you going to be changing?
