  1. haha. thats a CG rendering. I sold my corolla a while ago because I messed up the diff and didn't want to pay for a new one. Sold it for $2,000 (thank you Initial D, haha).
  2. plug wire order? Or the modual going bad?
  3. Does it take diesel, or gas. Since it was made for low rpm high torque apps, you might want to have it balanced if you are going to use it.
  4. Yeah that does seem off, but I wasn't sure. I know the Ariel Atom has a civic type r engine with 300 hp (supercharged) and the whole thing weighs about 1/2 a ton, and does a 0-60 in 2.9 sec. With that, the super 7 weighs almost the same. so super 7 (replica hayabusa): 170hp/500kg ariel atom (supercharged): 300hp/500kg. I don't know. I guess there could be things done to the tranny and/or the 12,000 rpm redline can have something to do with it. I'm bored and tired, but can't sleep. So feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
  5. I think that would be nice but it looks a little short to fit on a zx IMO. And there is a power buldge on the stock hood for a reason, because of the high profile of the L28 engine. Now this is just looking at the rendering that is shown.
  6. IF thats the later model super7, then it also hasa Hayabusa engine in it.
  7. I remember reading somewhere on here that the light on the ecu was to show whether the O2 sensor was woking. Could of been a bad connection somewhere between the ecu and the O2 sensor. But I guess it doesn't matter sense its working now anyways.
  8. Have you tried looking at some japanese aftermarket guages. Everything is pretty much metric.
  9. Well I got them about even now, I used a heatgun (great minds think alike haha). The problem I am having right now is to choose whether or not to mod it for a quad bulb setup or rig up something for a HID setup. Either way I have to make a shield encloser so it won't melt the plasic. With the HID I would be doing a single bulb per a headlight and have a either servo operated or electromagnet operated flapper/cover for the projector lenses.
  10. Is that just primer? If so What color are you going to paint it?
  11. I can see benifits of having one on either side. Near the TB; less lag, better throttle response under boost Near the turbo; less preasure against the compressor wheel from the outlet side, maybe slightly better turbo life. Just stating my observations.
  12. Thats alright, sigh. Oh well Looks like I'm going to have to do some internal rearranging. Well these sets make it easier because one of the lenses popped clear off:eek:. Besides that i haven't really touched them yet. If anything I was planning on modding it to be quad bulbed, but now I am going to have to tear them apart to get them the to project at a right angle. I've seen the whole bike headlight on a car thing done before (CBR and a civic), so I know it can be done. I've figured I'm going to need to put on a set of fog lights so if they are to dim, that won't be an issue. Now that gives me something to do till the snow melts:lol:
  13. Me neither. But if it goes fast, I'm all for it. Good Job.
  14. I've seen it done from a zx to a a Z before. They graphed the guage cluster into the Z dash. I would think it would be no different, just the other way around.
  15. boost surge-->decrease in bearing life on turbo. Possablely the compressor wheel shattering (ceramic). Edit: This is increased boost than stock.
  16. I believe that their machine puts the alternator under a heavier load because of quality control. An alternator that can take a heavier load should be able to take a lighter load with out any problems. Its over testing, so they know that it will be able to take more than what it load environment is going to throw at it.
  17. You can almost rule out anything with the guages. I started my car with out the dash even in the car! Check by check from the souce and moving your way up. battery-->starter/ground-->relays/fuses.... etc.
  18. I have to agree also. He could of used some better lights to use up more of the area IMO. But On most cars the rear end is the weak styling point IMO.
  19. Usually most stereos wire up the same. Sometime the factory stereos can have some interesting wiring setups from the factory. Most europian cars won't pass emmisions because of a aftermarket stereo being installed (ECU throws out a error code). Well I daigress. Speakers should be color coded in pairs - color, color-black (ex.violet, violet-black). Only 3 wires you should worry about are the power wires, red(ignition) , yellow(memory or battery constant), and black(ground). I usually get the red and yellow mixed up in what they are for but it won't harm the stereo if you mixed those 2 up, just switch them back.
  20. Haha and Zarah (or at least a part of her) can be on TV. But seriously that suck. My condolences. BTW the link you posted doesn't work. The URL is wrong (http://videos.streetfire.net/video/E...4A6DABE67E.htm), URL shouldn't have "..." in it. Not trying to be a dick, jsut trying to help you figure out why the link doesn't work.
  21. I think you are getting mixed up with the older 2002 R6 headlights. The Ones I have, do take only 2 bulbs, but are dual filiment bulbs. So both sides have high and low beams. Intesity might be a problem but I seen mods on R6 bikes that remedy that.
  22. No one but another industrial shop would have bought it. I don't have room for how big it was. It was half the size of my RV. EDIT: BTW I was mistaken it wasn't a lincoln, it was a hobart.
