  1. Bushing maybe? Don't know. haven't had to deal with it "yet". I'm sure its made of aircraft grade billet. bu that thought has crossed my mind, for moving pieces.
  2. I believe it had an internal wastgate, and the turbo is oil cooled, not to sure though. Th 300zxt (z31) is when they started using oil/water cooled turbos.
  3. Sorry I didn't even look at the link. I re RX and assumed RX7, my mistake.
  4. Yes I know what one is. I've been working on car since I was 7 in my dad's shop. I ment use acid so you wouldn't damage the metal underneath if it was lead loaded. If you use a wire wheel on corroded areas (behind bondo) its might break through and bend the surrounding metal. If you mean a wire wheel on a dremmel then its going to take you a while to get the area cleared. With acid you just have to wait and scrape.
  5. Nope sorry. I saw a 240z with a set, didn't remeber how the gas lid was fitted. That car was messed up and was sitting the same location for 2 years. I was going to jack the rear fenders but it was on private property.
  6. A lot bnetter condidtion than mine . nice
  7. Might want to go to napa. If you know some people there I'm sure they'll just give you some free.
  8. I would use paint stripper on just those area, then you can inspect wahts underneath instead of possibally damaging the metal.
  9. That what my thought on Ti. My impression is that it iis dent resistent for the most part, but when a piece is left in an area that it has to flex, say at an edge of a table, it will flex with time and hold the shape that its been flexed. I don't think its a good idea to use TI in engine internals inless its been cryo (sp?) treated, and even then the effect of said process is only temporary dure to the heat tha it would be seeing.
  10. I was asking in hoping to find a narrow one that would run almost the whole length of the opening. Looks like I'm gonna have to get a custome core from a ducting company and weld the ends myself.

    N/A - Turbo?

Well I use a engine calculator that was posted on here a while ago. It said that compression would only be raised if you used the NA head, not knowing which block you had I use the N42 as an example.
  12. For a RX 7 its easier because they already have a sequencial turbo setup a would only have to have the exhaust manifold replaced with w single turbo mainfold, blower mounting, and belt/pulley install, and maybe some plumbing.
  13. The problem is how to pumb it. turbos and blowers are preasure producing units. Meaning that no preasure in one end (example number) 6 psi on the other, now putting something that produces preasure on the intake side at will be theoretically multiplyed by the number the secondary unit will produce normally with out preasure. So with unit 1 preoducing 4 psi into unti 2 "producing" 6 psi will make it the overall psi on the outlet be 24 psi. I've seen a diesel truck boasting 100 psi of boost at a truck pull comp using 2 turbos.
  14. I didn't read any of that in the last post. I remember HKS coming out with there own twin charge system for the supra a while ago.
  15. Not knowing carb systems that well, I can only recall what I've read. If I remember correctly the 260z was the poorest performing model stock because of all the smog equipment. The round top SUs will bump performence considerably from stock IMO.
  16. I hard wired them "into the gauges" in combinations of series and parallel circuits. For the speedo and tach I used 6 LEDs and on the other 3 I used 4. They are so bright people can see them driving behind me. I am currently making another set of different style, I'm not going to discribe anything yet, its going to be a surprise.
  17. K thanks. BTW SR240Z what size is that, core size.
  18. How long of an intercooler are you guys running? Do you have pix?
  19. How much torque does it have? I assume not as much as some might assume because its originally use to rotate propeller, and propeller don't really weigh a whole lot.

    N/A - Turbo?

I agree the NA block will do fine. I believe the F54 block (280zx block, both NA and turbo) were designed for better heat dispersion but the engineers didn't being into acount heat variance in the block. If you are just swapping everything over to the N42 block then it will work fine. If you want to run the n42 head and swap cams, it will raise compresion, so you would have to run bigger injectors.
  21. BTW are the VG blocks aluminum? I haven't really reseached vg blocks.
