  1. Got mine today and they look great. The old lady asked me what I was going to put them on and I said, I don't know...
  2. You are make quick progress! Keep it up. My daily driver has some pretty big holes in the passenger floor board. Some so large you can see ALL the top of the frame rail. I kept a floor mat on that side to keep crap from coming into the passenger compartment. I was cleaning one day and I pulled the floor mat back as my fiancee came out and she saw the holes. She didn't want to ride in the Z anymore. She eventually got over it. LOL
  3. It kind of reminds me of the back end of Mad Max's car, from the side. What aussie car was that?
  4. Safety pins from the inside, but only stick into the outer black edge half way through? Position the pins right and you won't put any holes in the hat and you won't see the pins from the front.
  5. I don't know if you have seen the 35th anniversary edition 350Z, but their wheels look sweet. You might want to check them out.
  6. I didn't have any rolling blackouts at home, but when I got to work my PC was all jacked up. Our alarm system and all battery back-ups were having fits and the time clock was screwed. Who said deregulation in Texas wouldn't become like California?
  7. RPM Designs in Haltom City did the stitch work on the seats and Stitch Concepts did the logo. It cost $40 to have the logo digitized and $5 per seat to put the logo on the head rest, but now that I have paid for the digitizing I'm considering having them put "260Z" at the base of the door panels I'm making. Yes, another hot day. Was there ever a winter in Texas? I really have to get my a/c fixed.
  8. Back on the 14th I picked up my seats and I think they turned out great. Once the weather warms up alittle the wrinkles should relax. Wait. What am I saying, we had a record high yesterday of 101*. Anyways. After pricing redoing stock seats I decided to just have my other seats redone. They are out of a '94 Eclipse. I bought them about 4 years ago and they got pretty fubarred at the painters, so I added some custom touches to match the rest of the interior I have done. Let me know what you think. http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=6951&cat=500 http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=6950&cat=500
  9. That was great. I loved the part where he's zooming along at what looks like a very fast pace and suddenly.. whooosh, he gets passed. Seemed strange that this class car was on the track at the same time as the other slower cars.
  10. Now, if only these could be done before the middle of May. I want some for the convention and the door panels are one of the few last things on my list.
  11. No Thanks, I have one. LOL check my sig. I didn't even notice the damage to your Z at the show. Guess the judges didn't either. This just gives you an excuse to finally paint it again.
  12. I had a subscription for Car Craft for many years up until acouple months ago. New editor, new writers(yet again) and the format has changed alot. I suddenly lost interest. Check it out. It may have just become more geared towards demographics other then myself. Maybe I'll have to get back into Hot Rod again.
  13. PM box is full. I had PM'ed you last week and didn't get a response. I'm still interested in the 240mm flywheel, MSA strut tower braces and the short throw shifter if cygnus doesn't get it. Shipped to 76118.
  14. Oh the sacrifices we have to make sometimes. lol I forgot about the minimum order with waytek. Thats probably why I went the ebay route.
  15. Also: http://stores.ebay.com/Hi-Tech-Supply_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amefsQ3amesstQQtZkm I'm pretty sure they sell them aswell: http://www.waytekwire.com/
  16. Patients. lol I've had this Z for about 9 years now. She sat waiting on me to work on her for, oh, about 4 years. Spent 5 months in the garage getting the suspension done. She spent 11 months in paint jail and has to be repainted thanks to the painter. She's been in the garage now for over a year, I think. It's been to long. Patients has definitely been a virtue. Another update! I got the head put back together last night. $16 dollars worth of stainless steel allen bolts just to put the fuel pump cover, front cover and engine hook on. I'll post some pics Monday. Now if I can scrounge up the money for head studs on top of the $495 for the refinishing of the seats. Is there a cheaper place to get them besides ebay @ $126=$8shipping? I can't seem to find the link on Summit.
  17. I remember that! I eliminated all the splices and ran individual wires to everything. I then connected the grounds using a ground block. All the power wires were run seperately from the connections under the dash aswell. All going to Maxi fues blocks. http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=6737&cat=500&ppuser=7958 At all the connections for the running lights and head lights I used packard delphi weatherpack connections. They work great! If you decide to use them, get the crimper and the removal tool. Yeah, the crimper is about $100 but well worth it. 2003Z..You must have more spare time then me. It took me about a month to rewire just the engine bay. Fog light wires was a nice find, but I eliminated those wires. I'll probably regret that later.
