  1. Race-tech has some nice seats too
  2. What about a MazdaSpeed6? 280HP, AWD, and a 6 spd. You could always do a used Cadillac CTS-V. 400HP, 6 spd, and RWD.
  3. There's a Cresco in Concord too...not sure if that helps, but thought I'd throw it out there.
  4. Get some Gearwrenches. They are one of the best, if not the best tools I own.
  5. I'm mainly helping with the #45 car, but they're both right next to each other. I'll do my best to get the IMSA Lites. Do you have any specific cars that you want, parts, or does it matter?
  6. Rivet some nice stainless plates where the exhaust exit's so it won't ruin the paint. I have no idea what your car looks like, but they've always looked nice on any car I've seen them on. Plus, I think it would befit the power you are putting out.
  7. Anyone want anymore specific pictures? I leave Thursday morning. Will be there until Monday when I come back home. I think I get wireless in the hotel if its the same one I stayed at in 2004. I also just got the notice today that I will be at the Petite Le Mans race too. Be my first time there and for a "longer" race. Hopefully, there will be some new additions to the various classes.
  8. Are you running standard 3-bolt flanges? If so, have you thought about v-band ones instead?
  9. Well...I'm an idiot. I was positive they were used to identify what driver was in the car. Anywho, you're right and its called the "Leader Light System" as per the IMSA ALMS rule book. The colors designate the different classes as follows: “LMâ€P1 - Red “LMâ€P2 - Blue GT1 - Green GT2 – Yellow The headlights are a different scheme
  10. Driver identifaction. When you do a driver change, the driver is supposed to switch to their in car I.D. Lets timing and scoring know what's going on. If the wireless part doesn't work, you can tell by what light(s) are on who's driving the car. I'm also pretty sure that the color is the same as the headlights, which designates the different classes. I know the P1 cars are white...after that, I'm not sure.
  11. Are you talking about anyone at the track or just the everyone on the forums? And Audi has a televsion channel?
  12. The doors are carbon fiber with quick release hinges that are hard to line up right and Porsche carbon fiber parts are not a perfect fit all the time. They sag a bit. Same on the Flying Lizard cars. You can actually see where the door tags the body every once and a while upon closing it. I wouldn't be suprised if that blue car has stress cracks in the chassis if its more than a year old though.
  13. Not as hard as you think they might be to do. Just a bit expensive and you have to have a Nitrogen tank to run them, because I doubt most air compressors can hit 380psi in tank pressure. I want them on every car at my house. How sweet would it be to do any work? No more jacking the car manually and if you did you would never have to worry about it being too low ever again to get the jack under. The best part is that you simply slip safety stands on the airjacks themselves. No more super heavy stands either.
  14. Posted the rest of the pics here: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=113979
  15. Here are some more and the rear undertray that I forgot to post:
  16. Here are the other pics I promised with some of the cage designs, an aero piece, and others:
  17. Thanks a bunch. I played with the color quality a bit on the computer and made some of them much, much better (Better than what you see here). I wish I could bring my dad's prosumer (almost full grade profesional) Nikon D200 camera out to the track, but its too large to lug around. So, I use the little pocket Minolta that my dad has...plus, I can be a bit sneaky with the picture taking and know one really knows. Works surprisingly well. I'm getting some put on 11" x 14" photo paper to make some posters out of. I'll post the other cage pics up after I get out of my calc class later today.
  18. I know. Its really nice, because the fumes kept the mosquitos at bay.
  19. Where to begin. I got back today a little after 1PM. Missed one of my physics classes, so I hope I won't be in too much trouble for getting a little real world related learning in the process. It was a very long weekend. Lonnie spun in the last lap of warmup and tagged the wall with the passenger side rear. The crew got the car fixed when many people at the track thought it was not possible. Reminds me of Portland when the motor let go in the #45 car only 2 hours before the race. All of pit lane (read: all other teams) cheered as the car was rolled to the end to start from the back of the pack and proceeded to place 2nd. Long story short, it turned out to be roughly a 16 hour day the track with a few 12 hour ones before it. The race didn't go as well as everyone had liked it to, as the other car had a few "problems" on the track that took us off the lead lap for GT2. Ended up 5th. Not to good when Johannes van Overbeek and the #45 car are leading the GT2 championship fight. Anyway, I got some really good pictures. Some of the cages and aero that a few wanted. The other come from one of the best burnouts of any ALMS car I've ever seen. It happened during the pit stop competition. I swear Hand pulled off a 100 yard 5MPH rolling tire fryer. All the seasoned mechanics didn't like it, but all the guys my age were pumped. I don't know about any of you, but seeing a $500,000 car burning off a $1000+ of rear tires was quite awesome. Then, during the beginning of the race, both Astons drifted the cars coming out of their respective pit boxes. Again, I don't see the drivers having fun like that, that often. Its cool to know they still enjoy driving. So, here are the pictures: Aston Martin DB9RS from Speed World Challenge GT Burnout before pit stop competition Left over tire BMW during pitstop competition Another of the Peterson/White Lightning car White Lightning Porsche that won the competition Diesel Audi getting ready for the pit stop comp Corvette lined up I will have the cage and aero pics up soon.
  20. Tommy is the crew chief and principal for the #45 car from Flying Lizard Motorsports. I crewed the race for them this weekend and remembered seeing a Rennworks cup car. I remember turning the TV's on in the pit carts for the Rennworks crew (which may have only been one or two people if I recall). Funny its such a small world.
  21. Oh, and I forgot to ask about Tommy and Shannon. I actually see Tommy in one the pictures. Didn't you guys have a Cup car at Road America this weekend?
