  1. Finger was over the camera. Somebody needs to sell me some 15x10 Diamonds.
  2. I tend to think of 'factory' as something that actually came on the car from Nissan before the car reached the dealership. 'Stock' is something that could be added at the factory. That's just how I think about it.
  3. There's a differencence between 'factory' and 'stock'. Needless to say, I'd love to have one of those power steering racks. Tony, where on the block did they mount the power steering pump?
  4. Nice job! I prefer the static height of the white one, but the width/stretch looks good on the black one. Also interested in wheel/tire specs on the black one. EDIT: just noticed your location's Georgia. Right on. More pictures/build threads/info?
  5. No. They won't. Even going close to that low will droop your springs excessively, compress the shock, and you'll be left with barely any suspension travel. You have to use a shorter shock assembly if you want to retain suspension travel at that height.
  6. Called Gabriel at T3 last night and figured out what I needed. Apparently there's a needle bearing, two washers, and four bushings that you need sized exactly to your shock shaft to install them. I didn't know this since I bought my camber plates secondhand. Probably would've been easier to just order them from T3 in the first place, but it was too good of a deal to pass up.
  7. After looking at their product picture again, I think I'm missing something. The top picture here are mine. You can see how big the pillowball bearing is, a good 3/4". In their product picture, it looks like there's some type of bushing insert in their pillowballs, reducing the size of the hole greatly. Any info as to what they are?
  8. Ran into another problem. Just got my plates in and the hole in the pillowball for the strut to go through is considerably bigger than my strut piston. Seems like if I bolt it up, there will be considerable side-to-side play in the pillowball. Should I find a solid bushings or something to make it fit as tight as possible? There's gotta be people on here who have had that problem.
  9. ^ I really like the purple! I was thinking about painting mine R32 Midnight Purple before I decided to go with the rat rod theme. However, it hailed really bad last night and I doubt I'll be painting it for a while. Apartments suck : (
  10. I like that! It'll definitely be a weekend project, I'll probably just wait to get the rails in, and then get it as high as I can on jackstands and do them both at once. Thanks for the pics!
  11. I would have no problems with running these on a daily. As far as Megans go, I've seen/used them on and off the track and had nothing but good results. Honestly, I can't really view Megan as an "off" brand, since they're a company of their own and produce their own products. I had a Megan exhaust on my L28ET for two years and it sounded unbelievably good. Loved it. Amazing quality. As far as dampening and valving, they might be a little cheaper made than competitors (Tien, PBM, Stance, ect.), but there's nothing wrong with them.
  12. That's what I was thinking. That's actually the size I was going to go with, if I went with the Shakotans. I couldn't decide between a 195/65 or a 195/60 though. I would definitely keep stock fenders though.
  13. I thought that first as well, but I'm not sure. HRE 505: XXR: There's some pretty big differences
  14. That's what's up! Are you running your stock steering rack or did you swap it out for the powered 350z rack as well? Also, coilovers look great! How low do you plan on going?
  15. ^ Thanks guys! I was thinking about doing the Shakotans, but they're only 9" wide and I want to go with flares. If I do end up picking up a set of Rotas, I'd keep stock fenders, but I don't know how they'll look. I'd honestly like the stock wheels if they were a lot wider and had a little dish. But they don't, so they'll be going lol. Right now, I'm on Function/Form DC2 coilovers. The sleeves are simply welded onto the stock strut tubes right now, I'll be picking up some secondary sleeves to fit tight over the whole assembly and provide more support soon. Using the Integra tophats right now just for mocking up purposes, I'm not driving it until I get pillowballs all around. So far, I've only driven it from the house I did the coilovers at to my apartment, which was only a few blocks away. The ride quality was actually really good, albeit I scraped a lot. I should be giving that some attention soon. Another pic:
  16. Just noticed on their camber plates that there is no upper perch for the top of the spring to rest against. All there is is the gold slider part to adjust the camber. ....so what're you guys running for your coilovers? It's apparently not as simple as taking off the tophat, sticking the piston through the hole and securing the nut on top. There's gotta be something for the spring to rest against.
  17. Need some weld-in plates for the S30. Just seeing if anyone has any they'll let go for less than retail before I drop $180 on a set from T3. Thanks guys!
  18. That's what I was thinking, but I just wanted to make sure. The shock pistons I'm running are smaller than stock anyway, so I want to make sure and go to all the precautions before I start driving it on the suspension.
  19. ^ that's pretty much what I'm doing. I'll be interested in keeping up with your progress
  20. So, I'm getting the T3 camber plates for the front, which incorporate pillowballs. I'm trying to retrofit s13 pillowball mounts in the rear, but I'm wondering if it's really necessary? Does it relieve outward stress on the shock when it's compressed?
  21. The L28 is an N47/N47 out of a '78, so that should make it an open chambered head, right?
