  5. The frist two are off a l28et with hydrolic lifters that I recently aquired 190K. The last one is off my 82 p79 that had a modified cam. Here is my question what gives with the ware in the center of the rocker arms off that p90a? Also should I use the p79 rockers with the stock cam for that p79 in the p90a when converted to soild lifters? They are alll like that some worse than others. The cam seems fine but if I need to post that up I will. Here is the other side. Noter the bigger wipe on the p79 due to the udated lash pads and cam. (from years back) I will be turboing in the future, aim is for about 350 rwhp.

  7. Ok I've searched a bit and can't find this tidbit. On the turbo engine, w/dished pistons, p90a head, will the valves clear if the chain brakes? Or initial setup if timeing is off? Can't remember the term positive/negative impact?
  8. I take it you can't start it? Quick checks: Themodyne cold start injector voltage to the injectors (ground opening and closeing?) stuck injectors Did this just start? Did you just replace a part? Has the car ran in the last week/ year?
  9. So I was thinking it over and came up with a diff idea. I've got a set of su intake runners and if I can clear the hood, I can extend the back of the runners and essentally open the balencer tube hole up to X size on both runners. This way I can a box on top that will span both. So the runners will only be about 2inchs longer than stock and the manifould will be on top to match. Hope that was clear enough. Also I wll use the flange from stock manifold for the injector holes unless it is easer to build them on the su instead.
  10. I just pulled the oil pan from my l28et and saw a bounch of those and was going to ask as well. This site rocks!! Anyhow I am still going to make shure it is balanced later. Well crud 1fastZ just beat me to the punch:).
  11. Seiously I'am only looking at makeing it easier to get at the stuff I put underneth it, with out hindering performace. I read some other threads recently and I might have found a problem with my desingn. I wanted all the runners to essentialy to take a 90 out of each intake port and head to the frount of said engine. The problem is that no1 intake would be very short and no6 very long. I believe this to be maby a bad thing. Remember I'am not trying to highly sopisticated on this just don't want to screw my self an a bounch of work. The fun part is that I have a running ZX and can build at my lesiure. Only shooting for 350rwhp with a couple of squrill turbos off the stock manifold (if I can fit them). (not intandam but side by side.)

  14. Even though the L is a great engine, the head design leaves a little to be desired in SOME applications. Even with modern engines this can be a bit trickey. If you are the ultimate tuning guru, finest parts and a little water injection I would still have to say "good luck";) High compresson turboing has been done. Low boost gives you alot of suds, but one bad pull. poof. I've seen forged pistions destroyed. I'am not a master engine builder but I've been around enough to say be carefull if you decide to go down that road:) peace.
  15. Just enough to make the adaption of tb to the intake pipes. I'll post a pic later of something that is kinda where I got my idea from.
  16. Do you have cruise control, That is goverend on both my zx's. It has to be on to work. Other wise no governor except hp. Even with the crusie on you can still exceed the speed the crusie will just shut off. Mabey your bro is trying to help you out.?

  18. Ran the old girl out of gas, not good. At least change the fuel filter out and check how much crud is in it.
  19. I'am kinda full up at this point, thanks for the consideration. It will problay have a p79 head. The cam is good for those who want to go to the soild tappet lifters on a p90a head. The p79 head is prettty much the same w/ round port exaust.

  22. My brother in low has every welder in his shop. I was thinking, why not just make it all tubes all the way to the throttle body? Two on top, two in middle and two on bottom? Keeping the tubes really close to the head?
