  1. Since steel is mostly comprised of iron (with a few exceptions), what is the difference between cast steel and cast iron?
  2. I was able to veiw the frist one and now this one! Second was much better. I too was thinking that there was a few lover parts in that front end and POW....... cleared! WAY COOL Z!
  3. Before: Thankyou Golbe for all your help today I owe you one!!
  4. Don't buy into any hype, I've seen stuff come and go. With fuel prices so high there will be an aboundant of this stuff. Let it go till something gains national attention and they may be on to something. Spend your money on ummmmm mabey...... wireing;)
  5. I'am not the best to offer advice, but I will assume that the clutch is not disengageing. Try pushing the car with the clutch disengaged and engine off, or try starting the car in gear with the pedal depressed.
  6. Way cool! I like how he stated about the engine. I ve been there done that, numbers only go as far as real life. He need to become a HybridZ member!
  7. Ummmm WOW lots of work! reminds me a bit of mull's car. Very extensive!
  8. Fantatic car. Youve got a lot in that baby! Engine sounded mean, like the header ping!
  9. It seems that might be a turbo engine; p90 head, f54 block and optical dizzy. I believe that the shaft for that dizzy is different as well. I would be suprised if it dose not have the turbo pistions in it.
  10. I live on Illinois street, dose that count?
  11. And just like that bingo! http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=105025&highlight=timesert+part+number Less then a minute!! Dang its such a beautiful thing:)!
  12. I'am going to post these comments here where their is high traffic and is related to this adventure. I've really never need to use the search feature much due to the fact my zx is in good shape. I tell others to search because I been reading posts for 4years plus. (never signed up for over a year) So now I have 4 or so hours in two seperated events into research and this is what I've come up with: 1 coverting p90a to solid lifters useing timeserts. Reason don't want to screw with lose of pressure and response. (no arugument please, not my point). 2 Cam in the hydrolic head has a different ramp and can eat it's self in a solid lifft application. 3 WaS not sure of the make of old stock cam I have (p79 or one out of a n47 head I had). Found that it is a p79 (F) cam. 4 p79 cam will give me better duration on exh and slight more lift on the intake for the turbo. 5 Combustion chamber is the same on my 82 p79 and the P90a but will flow better due to the square port ext. (this point may be aurgable, but it is where I'am putting my money on.) Plus no inserts on the ext that MAY fail, not saying they will. 6 Found c/r stuff but can't remember where but I intend to keep mine low as possible due to the fact I want to run meth w/o a intercooler, also ceramic coat, 2nd generation. (This is just what I want at this time, NOT saying its the best!!!!!!) PS my n47 head would of given me approx 9.75 c/r. Now being familiar with the termanology if problaby made my searching eaasier but the site is for geared for those who have at least a rudamentral understanding of cars. THE SEARCH BUTTON WORKS FANTASTIC!!! Did notice how many threads were of the same topic which was fine due to lttle piceses that were not in everyone. When I found this: http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/cam/index.htm I felt like I hit the jackpot! Still looking for the timesert part #, and loved the viedo of BigPhil showing the conversion from hydro to solid, plus the new springs and keepers install. So here is my point: In what would of cost me untold amouts of trail and error, costing who knows how much money and patience I found in four hours on this site! The amount of time triing to find this stuff..... don't want to even think about that! So a big THANKYOU to the many lifetimes of hard work and reasearch that you all have contributed FREELY to the data base on HYBRIDZ! Yes I've not donated yet. No b.s. I do realize especially now the value of such a condensed and consolidated data resource this site is, again THANKYOU! Peace.
  13. Congrats at you new job, hope it very enjoyable for you:)!
  14. Link is working again this morning, try it!
  15. Just to throw this out here, would meth injection change the results? Of couse you have to set it to run for that test?
  16. Automatic self destruct!!!! DO NOT PUSH!!!!
  17. Well that was not very usefull on my part... wait.... Ahh man there site is haveing problem, just my luck. They are called nutbusters. It will shear the part if they are as good as the snap on ones. (if it can not be loosened)
  18. Yep a repost, still funny stuff!
  19. Thanks Gollum, but I don't think I've ever known of so many fancy shocks in one junkyard!

  22. I saw these at at a plumbing outlet, http://www.channellock.com/acb/stores/1/category.cfm?SID=1&Category_ID=6 I can not seem to find the one's at snap-on. Maby channel bought the patient? That is pretty close to what they looked like. Call channel and inquire about application. As you turn the tool the jaws grip harder. You can put more effort into tuning with out haveing to sqeeze as much.
  23. One is off of a 86 911s, and the other is off a saab areo. The saab one is a 2000? and i've not yet measued it like I did the 911s. I'am not shooting for the moon but wil build the engine to endure it if desired.
