    Finally got my car out of the garage after a long year up beating, wrenching, bleeding and sweating. Only to find out a couple of problems with my car. 1. Radio seems to shut on and shut off 2. No gauge lights 3. No tailights, brake lights and flashers work 4. Engine coughs, sputters, and backfires, won't go above 43 mph in the top gear. Any help???

    Is it a turbo? I've heard that 240sx transmissions bolt up. You'd have to ask someone else exactly how that works though.

    I have painted my car, only problem, the paint is blotchy.... Sucks right? Anywho, I was wondering if there was a fix for this, maybe a little wet sand and buff. Should I try a different paint? I am using duplicolor caliper paint because I thought it would be a more durable paint. http://img860.imageshack.us/i/dscn0772f.jpg/

    I've heard transmissions from a 240sx will bolt up. Might double check that though...

    I've been sanding done my car for paint here recently, because I didn't like the orange peel green. So after most of the sanding has been done, I have come across a problem or a bump in the road. I need to know some ideas for removing the sanding dust.

    At the top of the original shock absorber holding it in the shock tower.

    *feels stupid* There was a rubber o-ring keeping it in there.... >.>' Anyways... I got it out, no problem...

    I can't seem to remove the original shock absorber from the strut housing. Anybody have any ideas on how to do this?? Maybe drill a hole in the bottom of the strut housing to get rid of the suction so I can pull out the strut no problem??

    How did any re-tighten and re-torque your glad nut once you installed the new shock absorber??

    Got one off with hammers, a crow bar, a pipe wrench, and liquid wrench. Did this while it was still connected to the car.

    PB blaster, never heard of it, I tried using liquid wrench on it. I'll try the heating method, seems easier.

    The suspension in my zx is shot. So I have got a set of blue Tokico HP shocks and lowering springs to boot. The rear shocks and springs, went on without a hitch. The front is another story altogether... I have gotten down the gland nut that is holding the shock absorber in the strut housing... Any tips or tricks to get this off?? I am having no luck with it.
