  1. I wouldn't say "stanced" but this is how she sits:
  2. I'm looking for the same thing. Anyone?
  3. Thanks. Like I said all the sensors are linked to a control unit, which is linked to the gauges (daisy chain). If you want JUST the ZD display with all sensors I want to say it's +/- $800. Just the display unit itself (if you already have the sensors installed for all the other gauges) is $400 +/-. Defi, like most all other "mad tyte JDM yo" baller brands are expensive - but for a reason. Cars are the only place that I am "brand whore" and usually only run high end Japanese aftermarket on my Japanese car. I.e., Work wheels, Bride seats, Defi gauges, etc. I figured since the interior is where you spend all your time - spend the money. I have to stare at the gauges all day - might as well be pretty lol.
  4. New picture added.. just because I just took it and liked it!
  5. Thanks. Yea all the cobblestone stuff is HELL. I daily drive an M5 and it soaks it up pretty good but in the Z I really have to pay attention to avoid some of these craters and shitty roads. Heavy clutch doesnt help - when it gets bumpy I jerk and buck all the time LOL.
  6. Got a new GoPro and took it out for a low-light test around the town the other night. Just skip to 3:00... nothing crazy but figured HybridZers would like.
  7. I am a huge DEFI fan and its the only gauge I run. For mounting them I used custom brackets (and a little hot glue LOL). The ZD display features built in oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, tach, speedo, etc - and has various displays you can cycle through as well as a shift lights and warning settings. For those that don't know all the gauges are daisy chained to a module that is paired to all the sensors. The 5 gauges in the center are the "CR" series, the tach is the "BF". Personally I am over the BFs as they have been hugely replicated by cheap/knock off brans and only went with the tach because of size/color. The white gauges int he center are also color programable between red/blie. I keep them blue since the tach is not changeable. Now - DEFI just released the RS series which are styled after vintage JDM gauges like our S30 uses , but of course have all the features of their other gauges. Don't expect it to come cheap - my setup was in the $2200 range. http://www.defi-shop.com/info/news/rs_reservation/ I would definitely wait until they release a 60mm since it fits perfectly in our OEM mounting holes.
  8. Work Equip 01. 15x8.5 -2, Nitto NT01 225s, rolled rears.
  9. Just thought I'd post my new setup. 80mm Defi BF tach, Defi ZD display, Defi 60mm CR - Oil pressure, EGT, Boost, Water/Oil temp. Custom carbon fiber bezels/center stack, everything relocated to toggles (12V, parking/headlights/signals, fan, etc). BeeR launch control, Sparco 330mm suede wheel with NRG quick release. Not pictured: Bride Stradia Lomax seats, cage, custom fuel cell coming.
  10. Drove it!!! Preliminary shakedown before ZDayz. Yes I will be running foam and I DO clear the bars when not taking an in car stoplight picture.
  11. Looks good! Nice to have the S2k too! I miss my 05 SSM. Now DDing an E39 M5... great car, but still... Don't ever sell the S2000! Best car I've ever owned.
  12. I am running 15x8.5 -2 Work Equips on all fours with NT01s 225s - mild mild stretch and I rolled my rears (which is super easy to do BTW). I say 205/215. Go sticky with a mild stretch. Gorgeous car BTW.
  13. How do these seal to the body with the L braces? Are there any sources for replica trim rings?
  14. I did but there is just so much information and it seems no two are alike - which is why I am having someone else build it. I just want to run it by those familiar to see how it's shaping up and make sure it's good to go.
  15. So I am having a shop build a roll cage for my Z. I have read over threads here and have tried to take everything into consideration (360* welds, cage design, etc). The first cage was done a few months ago and was completely wrong. The main hoop was too low and angled so they cut it out and are redoing it. They sent over a few pictures and wanted the "OK" before finishing it up. Any recommendations/input?
  16. I think you'd have far more interest if they were just OEM style replacements... the molded thing is a deal breaker IMO.
  17. Eh.. I responded on the page. Typical old tech looking for something to ***** about.. I'm sure if he owned a Z it'd be subjected to what many have over the years - mile high ride height on some cheesy chrome wheels with a tacky paintjob, cowl hood and a V8. To each their own I suppose..
  18. This. My friend just picked up a 1JZ 280Z not too long ago (he actually looked at buying your car when it was on Ebay). It'd be fun to have 3 boosted S30s together (and maybe we can do Zdayz next year!) Mine should be finished (i.e., presentable paint/body wise) by the end of the summer - he's working on his pretty hardcore too! Should be a sick duo/trio when finished. We're in Tampa.
  19. The 240Z has mounting locations for a hardness bar that puts it at the right angle and allowed secure mounting with 3 bolt on each side. We built a custom one to get it up to the Dragon (roll cage material was on order). The seats are Bride Stradias and the harnesses are Crow 6 pts. Excuse the dirtyness... Heavy rain the night before.
  20. You should do G Nose headlight covers. With the chrome rings like OEM. There would be a pretty decent market if you could get them looking right!
  21. White G nose slipped right on out and he was pretty low! I love the look of these slammed Z's but enjoy driving fast cars... I'll have to find a way to make them meet somewhere in the middle.
  22. Love this car and his work! What'd I'd do for a 964 built by him!
  23. I have real Bride Stradias in my car. Knockoff **** annoys the crap out of me. Oh well... at least mine will hold up in an accident.
