  5. 6boost is based in australia i believe so ur best chance of seeing those manis would be on a forum like skylines australia. I doubt many people in the US have those manis, let alone on a Z
  6. awesome build man. were the axis wheels your first choice?
  7. those look like an oem set so i dont think they are worth more than 1k
  8. great find pal. as much as it pains me to hear you are putting a v8 in this particular car, have fun with your project
  9. foam could work, but you would have to find something that would prevent the plastic from melting when the resin cures. waxed aluminum foil may work
  10. i know why, because if the pipe has any curves at all, you wont get the pipe out. the best way to do this would be to use something like aquapour to make a negative of the pipe, then lay up a carbon sock like the one pictured above, and use the neutralizer for the aquapour to melt it all out.
  11. with the engine and trans together on the stand, it can be very difficult to maneuver the whole thing into the engine bay but it can save you time. If you have repainted the engine bay and dont want to scratch new paint or you are doing the swap alone, put the trans in first and then drop the engine in. if you have help then drop them in at the same time and be very careful and try to fit what you can before putting the engine in the bay
  12. i know of a cheap rb25de front clip for sale. pm me if interested.
  13. he used what he had man. since he already had a awd tranny and the capabilities to make it rwd, he did so instead of shelling out another 1k for a 25 trans.
  14. im pretty sure the alcohol in e85 will eat rubber hoses.
  15. definitely get into a high speed chase in a rented lambo and have as much unprotected sex as humanly possible
  16. i thought it was the opposite. please correct me if im wrong but i thought more weight up front would increase oversteer since weight is transferred to the front during braking and therefore unloading the rear suspension causing oversteer.
  17. if i remember correctly the rb30s deck height is anout 1.5" taller than that of a rb26 so once your head and turbo is mounted (if going top mount single) you may have clearance issues. but i suppose you could shim the mounting cradle and effectively lower the engine.

  19. im assuming since you narrowed the crossmember, dropping the JZ motor in the car would require custom motor mounts. Also would you consider doing a diy thread for the rear end swap?
  20. my friend has a gt3071r for sale if you are interested. pm me for details. ninja edit: it was sold sorry.
  21. seems like overkill. and wouldnt that act like another firewall and make it more unstable at high speeds?
  22. sweet swap. that thing should scoot pretty good. 9000 rpms of honda lovin:mrgreen:
