  1. You don't have much of a choice . Gotta have flares or widebody kit .
  2. ? Strange . So it ran fine after the head job ? Only thing i can think of is to do a leakdown test and check your valve clearance . Thought you might have warped the head when it got overheated .
  3. The TPS is adjustable by loosen up the mounting bolts and then turn the unit , DO NOT take it apart . Air regulator is part of your cold start system and it's not cheap .
  4. Check to see if you have power and ground to the pump during crank . If so , have someone listen and feel it . If it's trying , check the inlet side to see if it's clogged . Should have a small cone filter in the inlet side . You can carefully remove and clean it . If it's clogged , check fuel tank condition .
  5. Yes you can . Need info on your car . What's the problem ?
  6. Check FSM for proper adjustment on TPS and AFM . That big fat flat head screw is your A/F mixture adjustment .
  7. Did you mess with the AFM adjustment ? Check your TPS per FSM , it's just a on/off switch . Vac. hose hooked ( correctly ) up at FPR ?
  8. Any kind of air leak down stream from AFM will prevent it starting or running right , unmetered air . Try to tape it up REALLY good to see if it runs any better . Good luck .
  9. Check your TPS to make sure it's adjusted correctly . Assuming you already checked fuel pressure since you replaced everything but the filter . I'd also check the AFM flap to see if it responds with throttle .
  10. At what RPM when it idles before it increases and how high will it go ?
  11. So tell me what exactly the car is doing now , only run with starting fluid ? Got a little confused with your infor.
  12. Check your throttle stop setting ( make sure it's not set too high/open too much ) , cable/linkages ( for binding ) , choke operation , vac. leak . Need to check the coil power as stated in earlier post .
  13. So you are able to kill the motor by turning the key off , what did you do ? You either have a big vac. leak or throttle out of adjustment . Do you have the choke setup ?
  14. That's another way of pulling the engine and trans. . LOL . Need to get me a tractor , probably faster and less work .

  16. Actually the interior is not that bad , at least the door panels are in good shape . With a little love , she'll be just fine . LOL .

  19. Here are two pics. You can also get them at Summit Racing in either black or polished . Mine is a 78 Z , think they are the same .
  20. Both of my Zs have Grant steering wheels also . But i used billet adapters which have provisional holes for the pins . Check the Zstore for billet adapters . I'll post some pics. later .
