  1. Wow... I love the guy in the back ground: "If that were my best friend he'd be on his own, I'd just stand back and watch this."
  2. I might not have any kids and I'm only 26, but let me take a stab at this. I think at thirteen he might be going a little fast. If he's already started advise him to slow down a bit life goes by fast enough. Find about his friends, girlfriends if there are any. See if you can figure out what's going on in his head. What triggered this? I would guess he's got his eye on someone and isn't sure how to move forward. Exploring his own sexual urges might just be his way of dealing with it. If he is considering someone give him a little push, help him talk to her, see what she likes and try to get into the same things (so long as it's not hair and makeup of course). I honestly think there's an individual there he's not talking about and isn't relating with. Does he get into the Z's with you? If so working on one of them together might be a good time to strike up the conversation. Hope this helps.
  3. Man, a lot of threads brought back from the past....Wow...
  4. I keep track of the two freecycles in my area. It's usually WIC stuff, baby supplies and clothes, but occasionally there's some good stuff on there.
  5. Got a new toy to play with today off of Freecycle. There's one more there I need to get, but it was completely assembled and weighed my little ranger down way too much. The other one came out of a boat and this one was intended to replace it but the guy that was going to do it passed away. I'll put it to good use. I've never rebuilt a Ford engine before, but I figure it can't be that hard. So what do you think?
  6. His annoying little sister....He's at Fry's to get some speakers to drown her out.
  7. Wow...That is horrid...The lights aren't even straight!
  8. How old is he? 16? Maybe? Love the Functional Brake ducts he raves about. Looks like dryer hose to me. Nothing wrong with dryer hose, but not something I'd be so proud to announce on eBay.
  9. I have an adjustable gear for my 77. Very nice piece that doesn't require removing ti to dial it in, but for my DD, I'm not overly concerned with being perfect. I really just want some decent power to play with and some better gas mileage. That's why I switched to the MS-II and I'm working on getting another cam. I'd really prefer not to use my adjustable on the DD though.
  10. Zmanco, I want to keep as much torque as I can down low. I'm figuring for the tranny and rear I'll keep the stock trans and pull the 3.54 diffy from my 77. I want this to stay my daily driver and get some decent gas mileage. The change in gears is also the reason iw ant to keep my low end torque. One of these days I'm going to pull the 5 speed from the 240SX in the JY. I might put it in and I might hold it for my 77 that's getting the stroker. Not real sure yet.
  11. You raise some good questions Tony. I'm not realy sure, but being that I want to keep my low end toque, but broaden my power band I think this cam is going to be the way to go. Can't hurt to try and anything has to be better than what I have now.
  12. THere's one in the Girlfriends thread....Of course she forgot something so here we are again. Still leaving tonight no matter what ti takes.
  13. And we're off.... The wife and I are leaving tonight for Charleston, SC where she'll be auditioning for American Idol. She has a beautiful voice and I know she'll do well. So wish us luck! Thanks to everyone! Jeremy
  14. You should be ok, although the torque plate would be preferred just to be safe. Hopefully someone on the board is willing to rent one or loan one out. I know we have several machinist on here.
  15. Sweet! Glad you got it back bro. Now sue them for damages and anguish and put some money into that Z!
  16. Wow....I just popped one and it's nothing to do with it being morning....
  17. Thanks Paul! I'll shoot one back tomorrow!
  18. Ahhh, finally I see some decent numbers. Just got another email from Delta. They have 280 x 480 292 x 495 Get this: 325 x 475 - This interests me a lot. Lift is a little low, but 325 duration...That could be what I'm looking for right there. He calls it the Hot Street. I requested some more details, but the more I think about it, on an N/A this might the cam to get.
  19. I've already explained my specs to them and they're still giving me weak cam specs. The MSA Stage II Cam shaft is pushing more lift and duration than what Delta has offered so far. I like the price, but they need to bump up the specs some.
  20. 585? Good God...I don't need anything that big, although something more around 500 would be nice. So far Delta Cams has only offered up a .464 lift and 272 duration. Wonder why their recommendations are so low?
  21. Nice numbers. Interesting the HP increase was almost twice the torque increase with just changing to 112 octane fuel. I guess I would have expected a more level increase across the two.
  22. Oh yeah I know, I wasn't suggesting I really wanted one that big...Good lord that would be the end of daily driving that car...haha...No I just want to wake the engine up and give it a good wide power band with some decent torque.
  23. I thought it sounded small. I'm running MS-II fuel and spark, I already have Schneider performance valve springs in, I can go as high as .600 if I remember correctly.
  24. That really sucks man. Beautiful car, I hope it comes back in one piece and they catch the sorry bastards that stole it.
