  1. What size wheels and tires are on your car? Are you using adaptors? Thanks
  2. Hey grumpy, I forgot to tell you that the cam is 236 at .050. I dont know if that will was needed?
  3. Thanks Grumpy! I think those #s will work out just fine. The guys at AFR told me too look for about 415hp but oh well. I am lazy so I went with the non mech cam. I will make the #'s up with a small 125 shot of NOS . Thanks again z ya
  4. I think max scarb is on the right track. I think that some adaptors similar to scotties that will bolt some small drive shafts in place of the half shafts. With this you run spicer 1330 or 1350 u joints! Go with like .120 wall tubing...
  5. I love that article. I like when he smokes other cars and they ask him what the hell has he done to it, his reply" just a chip and a muffler"!!
  6. Grumpyvette, If you get a chance could run some numbers for my motor. 355 sbc/10 to 1,AFR 195's cnc ported,750 holley, air gap intake,1 5/8 block huggers,hi output HEI,1.52 pro magnum rollers, 286/490 comp magnum,110 lobe sep. If you need the exhaust it is an x pipe with spintech prostreet mufflers/2.5 inch. Thanks , I hope is says 400!!
  7. I currently have a 500 caddy in my jeep commando! The motor is only 30 lbs heavier than a sbc. Once you change to a performer manifold you will lose 22 lbs. I got rid of all the smog, had the heads rebuilt with comp springs,260 comp cam, carb shop Q jet, hopped up hei, dual 2.5 flows. I can not say enough how much I like this motor for four wheelin. It makes brute power everywhere in the band. My set up from what MTS told me should be good for 340 hp and 520 torque.
  8. Cool, thanks for the input. I am gonna check it out tomarrow.
  9. Hey I was thinking about removing the drain plug in the belly of the gas tank and taping to pipe tread to accept a bulkhead fitting. I would also make a small sheild over the fitting so it could not be ripped off. What do you guys think? I really dont feel right about the 5/16 outlet on a 400+ hp car. Has anyone done this? Thanks z ya
  10. Well, I got the zg's today and I dont think I am gonna run them. I just decided that I cant cut the body up and the look just looked to "bolt on". I know once they are painted they would probably look much better but there is no turning back once you start hacking fenders! Since I am mainly going to use this thing as a street/strip runner I will go for the 15" Convo's and the Muscle car look like Don Manzo's car.
  11. I have coilovers and I just orders flairs. I dont want the wheel sticking out more than the tire look. I want the road race look but and going to be doing alot more drag racing than anything else. My wifes 01 stang has 245's on 17x8's and the sidewalls are staight up and down. So , I guess what I am after is max performance in a staight line with road race looks.
  12. Do you guys think that a 275/40/17 is a better fit on a 9" wheel or a 255. I know the 275 will have a slight buldge and the 255 will most likely have straight sidewalls. In the rear what would look and perform better all around?
  13. They are a lowered spring approx 1". They are have the blue plastic coat on them. Are these MSA's??
  14. Man, I am way confused now . So should I just keep what I have ???????
  15. I think I am gonna return the front and rears and go for 200 front and 175 rear. How does that sound. I think scottie said his set up was about 160?
  16. Use the performer rpm, it gives you the best of both worlds. It seems to make more power than the victor on motors with up to 400 hp and it still gives you low speed torque!
  17. A few weeks ago I ordered some ground control coil overs with 225 pound spring rate all the way around. The car has a v8 with alloy heads. Are these springs going to be to stiff for hard launches at the drag strip? Also. how will the ride be around town? Thanks z ya
  18. What one are you guys using? I have the camaro radiator. Also, what abot the top hose? Is their a hose out their that works with no adaptors? I dont want the flex hose if I can get away with it. Thanks z ya
  19. The ones I have seen run between 12.40 to 12.20. A little mods and they are in the 11's.
  20. Longrod327, I wanna go with ya when you check out his ride. Its bad ass I think. After looking at his I think I might ditch the pro touring look!
  21. Thanks for the picks! Your ride looks sick! I am for sure gonna do them now. In the rear did you cut the body? Nice paint color choice also!
