  1. He's on stancenation.com. Search for 240z and work. He's running 15x10 -28's in the rear with 205/55's.
  2. This is what I use. It's a really great rust preventive. It softens old tectyl/asphalt treatment, soaks into everywhere and soaks through the rust till undamaged metal. It's a really great and well tested product. It's used as the only preventive in ballast tanks in ships, oil rigs etc. Much recommended!
  3. I guess he means the 17x9 -13 and 17x9,5 -19. If you look trough the group buy thread you will find your answers...
  4. I would never put a set og fake wheels on my nearly complete newly built 280z. I bought a set of Rota RBR's, and now they're sold because I found out that they were watanabe knockoffs and therefore I didnt want to put them on my car. Live in Norway, and I had never heard of watanbe before I purchased them. Why would you by a set of cheap fake wheels to destroy the apperance of the car? Anyone with a little knowledge would know they're cheap knockoffs. If you dont have the cash, get a cheap set that isnt clearly a fake or get some used classic wheels. I ordered a set of CCW classics and they will be on my door in 3 weeks. Cant wait to have a set of legit wheels;)
  5. It's not much work. Easily done in under 2 hours with your normal home garage tools.
  6. Easy fix. Get some rear studs, remove calipers, remove front hubs, remove brake discs, hammer out the old ones and hammer in the new ones. Then put it all back together;) Job done!
  7. Thanks for fast answer! CCW classics purchased;)
  8. Hello, What's the center bore(s) for our Z's? I've been searching and the answers differs from 66,1mm to 73,1mm. I'm mostly interested in the center bore for my 77 280z. If it differs through the years it would be great to have a list for future searching. My Z is now stored for the winter so I'm not able to measure it myself, and I'm about to order a set of new wheels. Thank you
  9. Hello, have anyone purchased a set of wheels from Watanabe Racing service? What email did you use? I've sent emails to all their email adresses that's listed on their website (japanese, us, australian ones), but noone responds. I want to buy a set of wheels from them... If noone responds I'll go for CCW's, Dan over there is a really helpful guy.
  10. First, Reg, your car looks really nice! About the offset and width, you can easily get the 15x9 -15 to fit under the fenders without flares. I've got the Rotas 17x9,5 -19 to fit under the rear fenders with some minor modification. First I run 225/35-17 tires, AZcar coilovers, rolled the fender so they have a slight angle outwards, a set of camberplates (not wild neg camber but about 2,5 degrees) and a set of adjustable LCA's. The project isn't finished yet and my final wheel setup will be Rotiform race wheels with 16x10 -5 with 235/45 or 17x10 -5 with 235/35 tyres on. That would fit perfect for a form and function setup. It was poking about 5mm outside the fender with just coilovers, 225/35 tyres and rolled fenders, but I had no rubbing issues since the tyre was leaning with good clearance to the fender. Stiff springs (I run 375lbs/inch) and adjustable shocks is required since the ride have to be hard to do this. I know many of you on this forum don't like to see cars that chooses form over function, but its still a hybrid z. And you have to agree, a low, wide and classy done Z is the best pinup model;)
  11. I also have DP bolt in's on my car. Works great!
  12. Damn! My challenge to you: Make it a show car within a year:P
  13. Looks like a 17x8 et0 wheel. You need coilovers to go that low. A sectioned strut with cut lowering springs will do the job, but that won't be a good solution.
  14. I have the silvermine stage 4 kit front and rear on my 280z. I haven't completed the build yet, so I haven't tested it, but the install was easy and everything needed comes with the kit.
  15. the rota shakotan is new of the year, don't think that many has already bought them... edit: didn't read the whole sentence.
  16. Thanks! More opinions welcome. 1 inch was just a number, testing testing testing will give me an exact number, more like 1/4" I think.. The problem is that the track width increases when lowered compared to stock. Would like stock track width when lowered. I could do it the easy way and go for flares, but as the looks of the car is also important (it's a show car that balance on form and function), I have to do modifications in a way that allows the car to be a fast great handling car and also a pretty model. Fenders are already pulled and rolled, but I don't like the looks of the flares;)
  17. Love the wheels that I'm running, but it is a option. I know a wider front track than rear track reduces understeer. I see Arizona Zcar and zforceproductions sells adjustable rear control arms, maybe buy a set and send it to my local welder for modification?
  18. What are my options when I want a shorter rear track width and would like to keep my wheels? I need about 1 inch shorter rear track width to reduce understeer (can't space out the front wheels as that would give me clearance issues). Is there a adjustable rear control arm for sale out there that allows me to do this? I've searched and found many adjustable rear control arms that allows to increase track width, but not the other way around. My car is a 77 280z lowered by Arizona Zcar coilovers. Thanks!
  19. Nice! Your paint looks just like mine;)
  20. In Criminal Minds Ep 1 Season 1 the serial killer has a nice orange 240z! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8gsqeanN5o
