  1. Thanks for the heads up... I'll have to look into Beaver Springs, It appears to be a couple of hours from me, but it may be worth the drive to catch up with some other Z guys
  2. Wow James, no one has bettered your time in the last 5.5 years...
  3. Never did a build thread, but there are a bunch of photos of my mounting in my photo gallery. I would recommend the Beta Motorsports cradle for mounting... It appears to be very similar to how mine was done and will cost you half the price of custom mounting. Good luck w/ your build. Feel free to hit me up w/ any questions you may have, Mike
  4. Techno Toy Tuning rear suspension w/ coilovers and Tokiko Illuminas... Unknown name lowering springs w/ Koni adjustables in the front. BTW, added a couple of new pics after the move to my photo album...

  6. August 2009 after the move from FL to PA
  7. BIG CONGRATS JT!! I am a little slow on catching the news, I guess I need to spend a little more time on the forum!! Woohoo!!
  8. I run Eagle rods and Ross pistons in my 2jz... no issues here, mike
  9. Keep at it... it will be worth while when you get done
  10. Oh yea, they checked the date in my helmet, my fire suit (need a new one of those as well), and my license ofcourse... OSW was lenient in comparison...
  11. Oh, and got pulled over by the local police on my way back from the track in the small town I moved back to.. Wasn't doing anything wrong, but they just wanted to see my license, registration, and proof of insurance... again frustrating...
  12. Crappy night for me... Tech was strict for a t-n-t night My competition license expired 2 months ago, so I was limited to 10.0 times. I had the relay for my nitrous kit fail, so I couldn't build boost at the line. I would drive out to the 330' mark before the car would wake up... All and all, just a frustrating night... I'll get everything sorted out and be ready next time.
  13. Hi Clint, been watching your progress as well... Looking awesome I've made a handfull of test passes w/ the new rear end upgrade, but was having problems getting the 88mm turbo to stay spooled... it appears that I was getting compressor surge and ended up going back to the 76mm turbo. I don't know if I will have anyone to shoot video tonight, but I'll see what I can do. I am just looking at getting some base numbers in the different air and get the meth kit dialed in at higher boost levels (30+ psi). The weather looks awesome though... should be in the high 60's, low 70's and dry ... The car did put on 100 lbs with the R230 and the parachute mount. I now weigh in at 2850 w/ driver, up from the 2750 before. Mike
  14. Going to Mason Dixon Dragway for some test passes tomorrow (Friday 9/4) if anyone is in the area and would like to stop out. Feel free to come up and introduce yourself. I'll be in the yellow 71 240z
  15. You'll have to pull 2 spark plugs to make 350 hp LOL... Anyway, the Beta Motorsports cradle is a nice piece... What tranny do you intend to run and where in PA are you, as I have recently relocated to the PA/MD border, south of Gettysburg... Regards, Mike
  16. You're givin me chills!!! Thx all for the positive comments, I'll update you all as the move goes on
  17. Looking good Rick... I wish my undercarriage looked so clean, but alas, it is full of burnt rubber LOL!!!
  18. I am based in Atlanta (pilot). However, I venture out as far as the airport, or the shuttle bus to a hotel room if I cannot catch a commute home after work... Joe, hope to see you in Carlisle Thanks Yasin ... we were looking into Pittsburgh at one time, but it's not exactly getting away from the hustle and bustle. Scottie, you know it hasn't been an easy decision...
  19. Thanks Joel, I appreciate it. i will still be based out of Atlanta, but will probably be commuting out of the DC area. I haven't decided whether to fly out of BWI, Dulles, or Harrisburg. I have options.
  20. Don't worry, I am going with it ... LOL After much deliberation, my wife and I are relocating to the town I grew up in (Waynesboro, PA). My family is still in the area, and we are looking forward to a more rural, lower stress, slower paced lifestyle, accompanied by a change of seasons. Having lived in Orlando for the last 18 years, it is a bitter-sweet decision. We will be leaving behind some very close relationships that we have developed, and will never be able to replace. Having said that, I do not wish to dwell on the negative, but look forward to a new chapter in our lives. The nearest dragstrip (of great importance to me atleast) is around 20 minutes away (Mason Dixon Dragway), so hopefull I'll run into some other HybridZ members in the area. I expect to make a couple of test-n-tunes this fall with some local racers I know. I haven't told them I am moving up, but will let it be a surprise. I'll post up here before I go, so I can catch up with anyone in the area. Regards, Mike
  21. Great!! Did you have to remove any of the original trans bracketry? Would it be able to slide back any further? just curious, as my engine is backed up to the firewall Mike
