  7. when I first saw the door I was impressed but I just thought it flowed too quickly, then you primered it and it looked a lot better, but I agree with Careless, I think it would have been better if it were more gradual and the blending started further forward... either way, Kudos! Looking better than I could ever do!

  11. damn, yea I would say its a bad pump. Hate to say it tho. Just buy another from summit and then put the old one back in the box and ship it back. what brand is your afr? I have come to the realization that you can't trust anything that isn't innovate...
  12. oh my gawd! Thats insane! I hate that color! What did you use to get rid of it??? What kind of stripping did you do? What did you use for the interior? Like over the rear strut towers, what is that? Is it carpetting? That hood is sick! What one is it?
  13. you really have to be honest with yourself and accept the fact that its going to be way more than you originally thought. I just paid 750 for the trans and motor mounts, vital liquids, and the driveshaft. There is a hell of a lot more than that I have to get, including headers, radiator, and all the nickle and diming things. I say get the motor and trans, throw it on craigslist or ebay and make a profit! I paid $4000 for my LS1 and t56 setup with about the same mileage. Take that cash and put it into your L28et. A college budget isn't going to get this done anytime soon. I bought my z while in college about 6 years ago and I just started working on it last year. Tho I also promised myself to NOT cut any corners and do everything right! Let us know what you decide!
  14. yea, I was leaning towards ceramic but I wanted to get something that wasn't going to stain. So I was thinking about getting just a pair of headers and having the Jet Hot coated later. Jet Hot coating can be had in a variety of colors and thought that the black would do nicely. http://www.jet-hot.com/colorchart.html So I was also wondering what color the ceramics were from JTR and if the JCI headers are comparable to the JTR ones.

  16. ummmm.... well, if it worked for a couple hours maybe its your alt that can't keep up. In those couple of hours it drained your battery more than your alt could keep up kinda thing. which could also be the reason why your voltage was so low in the first place...
  17. I guess you could always do lexan for the windshield but would it pass inspection in your state? The windshield is a major support in cars. Definitely would need to support the body, I would say a roll cage would do the trick.

  19. So, I just ordered John's motor mounts and tranny mount, plus the driveshaft. I figured I would hold out on the headers cause I haven't figured out which one I wanted just yet. That's where you guys come in. Which headers did you go with? The Broken Kitty or JTR? Did you get the JTR ceramic coated? Is it worth it? What about getting it Jet Hot coated instead? Thanks I did a quick search and didn't find anything that I thought answered my question

  21. I hear that! Tho my back yard is in some dire need of affection. Then there is the 1200 cooktop I just bought for my kitchen renovation. The waterpump in my girl's LD9 that I have to replace (its a total bitch of a job). Oh yea, not to forget the 350 I need to replace in my beast of a daily driver as well... On top of all that I still have yet to buy the mounts or the driveshaft for the conversion! BAH!
