there is actually an sr20vet, it came in a car called an x-trail in japan. expensive, hard to get, and still wouldn't work rwd by itself, [it has an awd bolt pattern] but yes, i'm, building mine from a sr20det block, and an sr16ve head.

in regards to the differences between rwd and fwd sr's. yes there are lots of little things that are different. but various bearings, seals, pumps are interchangable. there are interchangability threads on sr forums. there are even some things that are interchangable with other non sr motors. i cant remember what they are at the moment though.
fyi. SR's did come in the US, in infiniti G20's and nissan sentra SER's, so getting internal engine parts is as easy as going to the nissan dealership. not to mention the MANY MANY MANY aftermarket suppliers of parts right here in the good old USA.
i had an idea for a similar tatoo, sans your family crest, add mine. I thought real big on the upper back would be cool. but i've never had a tatoo.
my crest is actually a similar style. [mines italian] might i ask the origin of yours?
i'll post up some pics of mine once i get the shortblock back out. [soon]
but it looks pretty much the same as the vildini ones.
one thing to note is that you should orient the block so the bottom of the lower oil pan is level. thats how it is stock. the engine will be tilted over towards the drivers side like an rb26.
yes I am in Oakley. I dont have front wheels yet. but I'm ordering them today. i missed that part in your thread about this regarding the front wheels, so that backspacing was for the rear. I'd be glad to help you out so long as i'm there, and it doesn't get driven on, yada yada. Pm me if you want to discuss it further.
well. they'd all be non 240z parts pretty much unless you had a dealer installed ARA AC system installed. if not you'd probably be using a vintagair ac system. 240z's never had power steering. so thats custom. youd use the sr ac and ps pump because the 240z wouldnt have them.
there was no allen hole in mine when i took the dial indicator off. and ttt camber plates have no D shape to hold the strut.
but i'll try the strap wrench.
