  1. great pics, i love how short Z's are. makes me wish mine was finished...
  2. kinda reminds me of something i drew in kindergarten, sort of. we were making an alphabet book, with illustrations for each letter[ cat for C, dog for D etc...] and for P, i drew a peeing penis. the teacher didn't make me change it either, i think she told my mom though...lol
  3. i cut out a square section and welded a new piece in. i left the clutch master holes, and i'm going to use them as a reference point, from which to cut the other holes.
  4. thanks, i'll take those jam nuts off then. I was really confused why they were included on the balance bar actually., because it's not like the "black box things" [ i dont know what else to call them] can spin off, because they're attached to the the master cylinders via the rod that threads into them.
  5. are those available in a Z 4lug, or are you converting to 5lug?
  6. If you haven't thought of it yet. The other way to do it is to use a 4barrel intake. since more than likely there's an m90 that will fit without cutting. thats the way the other guy did it, i'm pretty sure...can't remember the username though.
  7. one might be able to make their own EDFC utilizing tokico illuminas, and a servo of some sort, mounted on the top. you'd have to be able to make it turn the little slot an exact amount of degrees [72 per setting, because there's 5 settings. 360/5=72]
  8. http://www.sr20forum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=47
  9. the other sides are flat and the holes are at an angle
  10. they look different from that photo. sorry kinda dark.
  11. While the body of the AZC Knuckles isn't twisted, the mounting points of the ball joint and steering rod end are, to achieve the same effect.
  12. from what ive read over at honda-tech, [which has a pretty good weld/fab sub forum] you turn up the argon flow and have a longer electrode stick out... i've also seen people weld a little square-ish piece in the valley of the collector. just 2nd hand info, as i havent gotten to that point obviously.
  13. the difference in cost is probably just the difference of the initial cost of either motor, because both of them need the custom piping/mounts/driveshaft/ecu etc...
  14. dare i say it...Mike ON3GO's maybe...
  15. When i got it all tacked together it looks like i'm definately going to have to redo that bum runner [seen at top] my advice is to buy a pre-made collector, unless you've got a really nice metal chop saw[which i dont], and the time to make this...all day[for me at least] woo 400 posts! heres the mask in case you were wondering
  16. there was a thread earlier concerning DIY coilover conversions, so if you had the means to do the labor yourself, you could be spending around 600-700 for a coilover conversion. 400 of that is illumina struts, so you could go lower cost on that. the springs, coilover nuts and threaded tubes cost about 200.
  17. http://www.arizonazcar.com/lowarms.html scroll down until you see the quicksteering/bumpsteer spacers I got these... $199 they look better IMO and they've got integral bump steer spacers, if you're planning on lowering your car. mines in progress too so i can't make any claim about the streetability either way...
  18. Update: I cut out the collector today. took forever... I'll take some pics in a bit when i get it tacked up. It's not perfect, and i might have to redo one of the pieces...but i think it may work. on a side note...my neighbor came by and saw that i was welding and took me back to his house and GAVE me a $300 Optrel Satellite welding mask that he didn't need anymore... pics to come of that as well. its awesome because mine was starting to get loose where the lense attaches.
  19. yeah ^x2^ then i'd paint it back to olive drab.
  20. I LOVE your engine bay Anthony. I figured out how I'm going to cut the pieces for my collector, i'm going to make a jig tomorrow morning and have at it. i also picked up a big piece of 1 1/4" thick steel to bolt the header flange to when i weld it. thats if i cant use a spare sr20DE head that i have.
