  1. something like this? 3SX introduces a new line of custom dual gauges, allowing you to display twice as much information about your car in the same amount of space. Mount them in your factory center gauge locations or use the Autometer single or dual gauge pods to mount them along the a-pillar. These are aircraft quality gauges designed to the most exacting standards and for precise accuracy. Available in a variety of styles in both white and black faces. They include all required probes or sending units and hardware (Air/Fuel uses existing O2 sensor). They are edge-lit with the included light kit and have red and green color options using rubber nipples/covers (can use other colors if you get other colored covers - not available through 3SX). Gauge Price* 1) Oil Pressure / Water Temp $194.95 2) Amps / Volts $169.95 3) Oil Pressure / Oil Temperature (WHITE only) $194.95 * Prices are for black faces, white faces are $5.00 more per gauge. http://www.3sxperformance.com/gauges.asp or you can go digital (edit, sorry forgot about the 'keep it stock looking' thing ) http://www.bimmerworld.com/html/spa-digital-dual-readout-gauges.htm
  2. any more info on that? Is it a 87+ body? I'd love to unload my girlfriends cabby for a straman.
  3. Also, the VG30i in the 80s trucks was carbed - dunno if a 4bbl will hook up to it, but i'm sure someone could make it happen.
  4. The guy who owns(?) 1gracing brought a noble to one of our autocrosses. He looked like he was on a sunday drive on the course (very tight btw), and turned in very fast time. Very impressive car. Also a very cool guy
  5. If you've ever wondered what the red fluid your car is leaking before you notice you're bleeding. You might be a gearhead. Yes I've done this.
  6. I'd consider the 3D in autocad to rank 3rd of the two options unless you're using mechanical desktop or some other add-on (I teach engineering graphics / autocad at a local university) If you want something easy and cheap, look into Rhino3D. It's primarily a 3D surface modelling package, but does 2D quite nicely so long as you don't need all the extras (symbols, libraries, etc) that autocad includes. You can dowload it for free and try it out at rhino3d.com.
  7. this thread is worthless without dyno charts
  8. I encounter people who do this about once a week going to work merging from a highway to a surface street. There actually are times that you need to stop on the ramp to let traffic clear (b/c of a light), but why people insist on stopping 2 feet from the end of the ramp is beyond me. Not only do they have no accel room, they are around a bend so people can't see them stopped at the bottom of the ramp. Welcome to ohio. Arg.
  9. Make sure you didn't pop a fuse pulling the old radio out. Does your dome light still work? There is also a harness that sometimes pulls apart that resided in the passenger footwell (behind the plastic trim). This may or may not help you: http://www.az-zbum.com/modification.stereo.upgrade.shtml

    Z31 into S13

From another forum, talking about putting one in an s14: "my JDM VG30DETT in full trim (upper plenum, AC, PS, engine mounts, all hoses and wires) weighed 614 lbs. " http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB9&Number=67448080&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=all&vc=1 I know there's a guy in indiana put a vg30dett into an s13, but I can't seem to find it.

  16. if money is tight, just turbo the NA engine: http://www.redz31.com/pages/turbo.html
  17. starting with what you need for a NA z31 -> turbo z31 conversion (http://www.redz31.com/pages/turbo.html) you need to work around the vg33 differences.
  18. That would be me posting a bad link lemme try again: http://www.nissanparts.cc/cart/?pn=38300-11V75 38300-11V75 Final Drive $2,643.43
