  1. oh, ok. i see now the only picture i was looking at to try to measure up clearance was the picture that has just the tip and the right rear wheel. thanks
  2. i'm sorry i wasn't very clear, i meant how much ground clearance is there from the bottom of the exhaust where it exits behind the door between the ground?
  3. hows the ground clearance with the exhaust out the side?
  4. thats an even better idea, but would could you tape it off with to completely seal out the liquid in which it would be submerged in?
  5. to do inside and out i would getting a large container of some sort and dipping it in something, then sanding off whatever you dip it in where you don't want it.
  6. i really likd these FD seats in the z's. how do they sit height wise? higher, lower....
  7. before i changed my mind, i wouldn't have run a muffler and would have done something similar to that wastegate setup except it would've been out the side.
  8. jesus, for a 6 liter thats tiny. i'm gonna go ahead and thank you guys for saving me all the extra money i would have spent just for the bling factor and temp. differance. there's a remote twin turbo '06 vette running around here in louisville and it got me thinking of how cool that would be. i appreciate the advice and the info, i'm only 18 and i dont know what i dont know, i figured it would've been a better setup. thanks again
  9. proxlamus, i read through their website earlier. thats why i was asking if anybody had any recommended a/r's. i was thinking to mount the turbo where the stock muffler would be, that way there is a heatshield to somewhat protect the gas tank.
  10. i stand corrected, i did an entire forum search for remote turbos and found the thread you were involved in concerning them. although, i am still somewhat confused as to why you find them less efficient, will you please explain this to me? also, why are they found to make less power? i am shooting for around 375-400 at the wheels, would you find this possible and efficient at the sametime with an F54 bored 40 over, AZC pistons, P90A, MSnS,~600cc injectors, Crane Cams ignition, and all the necesities that come along with a durable turbo motor? i have put much thought and read many posts concerning what people have done right and wrong with they're motor and would also like to know if the motor's life would be affected with a remote mount turbo. thank you
  11. i did search and found very little on the subject.
  12. ok, i'm still kind of planning out my turbo setup, i had originally picked out the hy35 on a stock manifold. now, i'm thinking of running a remote setup. reason being is for lowering engine bay temperatures and its just cool. but, besides all that i was wondering what turbo i should use to accuate for the turbo lag. i thought maybe using a t3/t4 would be a better idea. can anybody reccomend a specific a/r for this setup?
  13. i went with sportmax 006. a spacer is required though. i bought 17*8 and 17*9 http://www.wheelmax.com/wheelcolors.asp?CtgId=11138&color=Black
  14. jmortensen, can you post pics of where your main hoop meets the floor on the interior? i've got an 8 point cage that'll i'll put in when it's not the daily...
  15. does anybody got any videos and/or sound clips of a stock L28 with a MSA exhaust system? i bought one to use just until i could finish my turbo motor and i havent been able to install it yet with all the work i still have left to do....i'm afraid it's going to sound like a honda!
  16. sorry to be off topic but underground, wasn't that car on ebay multiple times?
  17. then, for now that'll be fine. but when you decide your ready to run an external wastegate the adapter with the bend will be best, mount the WG at the corner of the bend so the WG gets a better flow. check out maximum boost by corky bell, books amazing
  18. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cummins-Holset-Variable-Geometry-Turbo-model-HE341V_W0QQitemZ170079440672QQihZ007QQcategoryZ33742QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem is that what your talking about?
  19. that actually sounds like a pretty cool idea, the s15's came with some pretty cool seats. but unfortunately, my mohawk already rubs the roof with the stock seats.
  20. i have a hard time trusting ebay sellers with automotive items as important as those.
  21. i'll vouch for the toyo proxes, i'm using them now. tried to get the tires lose once and it wasn't happening, of course thats with a stock motor. http://www.tiresdelivered.com can get you a good deal,i paid $460 for a 2 215/40/17 and 2 235/45/17, retail was around $620
