  1. that is a very nice pin stripe job i must say
  2. if you say it looks like crap in only some places it may be that your spraying more paint in some areas than others....also make sure your using a plastic rattle can paint, i made the stupid mistake of using a paint ment for metal on my drip rails and i could easily rub it off
  3. before anybody tells me to search i'm going to throw it out there that i have searched and came up with nothing other than short mentions of this turbo. i was just wondering if anybody has any experience with the t67 on an rb25/26? i'm trying to plan out my rb25 build before i actually start collecting parts, this way i know what parts i need to order to make efficient power. my power goals are 600 whp. thanks
  4. plus, those prices look way to good to be true...gotta be careful with online engine importers
  5. it's a pretty large ongoing arguments as to where the best place to mount a bov is...right after the turbo or right before the throttlebody. i personally would see it to be more effective before the throttlebody.
  6. ha funny i saw this thread because just last weekend i was looking for something similar. after searching through a junkyard for about an hour and a half i found an intake elbow out of a volvo (don't remember what kind, but it wasn't an old one by any means) with a 5/8 tap, although it had a directional tube for airflow i took my solder gun and melted that right off, just be careful when doing so
  7. it's cool man, thats just the kind of comments that make me never get on our local forum around here. thats just the kind of sarcasm im used too
  8. careless: nobody likes a smartass...thats what louisville local forums are for. Z U L8ER: i was asking because i just currently decided to go with an rb25 over a l31 stroker turbo due to the fact it'll cost me about $10K to have the setup i want and get the power i seek. i'm shooting for 600rwhp out of the rb, i was just checking in to try and remember how easily these motors accept power upgrades (it's been a while since i came extremely close to putting a rb25 in a 240sx).
  9. that is one fast s14...i hate to get off subject but what all do you have in your rb to be making 415 rwhp?
  10. my 78 z used to do that when it was low on gas. not the shooting flames part but the whole no rise in rpm's or acceleration
  11. ...embarassing! i stand corrected, sorry maybe i'm the only one confused in this thread. DOH! as for the rear quarter replacement, that seems like way to much work for just a rear bumper. but, authenticity is irreplaceable
  12. as the title says. i'm just trying to get a feel for what i'll get for it when i sell it for a R230 when the turbo motor goes in. thanks guys
  13. i can't remember exactly where i read it, it may have been on here but there was a forum out there somewhere, where a guy was modifying the sr20ve head to work on the sr20det block
  14. he's talking about the front bumper...but, i'm sorry to inform you that datsun spirit makes brackets for the rear bumper to fit the 280z, all that work for nothing
  15. hmm..thats the problem it's a straight bar so even a careful grinding off of the welds would still be pretty obvious considering the curved bar would be welded on the back of the main hoop. thanks guys
  16. the problem is is that i've already welded the main hoop cross bar onto the main hoop. would grinding down those welds compromise structural integrity?
  17. well, i ended up having bigger problems than the $100 relay. after replacing everything but the actually wiring to the fuel pump, i finally just hot wired my fuel pump to a switch and bypassed all of the above. works great and is great for theft protection considering i go to school in the straight hood
  18. sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but i was just searching through to see if anybody was using the autopower roll bar, and well i did have another question for jon concerning the cage. i already have a S&W 8 point cage, but me being an idiot welding the main hoops cross bar straight across with no bends, now i'm 6' 3" so thats just not going to work. so, if i buy this main hoop and incorporate the weld in S&W cage i already have should i then weld in the bolt it hoop?
  19. those both clean very well, but, can potentially fade the covers on his engine...remember he does have an lt1. it's like using thinner on plastics...no bueno
  20. i dont know if it's your rear bumper or what but mine definately look like they sit farther out in the rear and they're only 9" wide. get a picture from further back, thats my favorite view of my car, when i'm depressed i just step back into my driveway and look at my cars a$$ end and it gets me motivated again
  21. i have a 77 with a four speed and i had a 78 with a 4 speed...we got screwed!
  22. look up amir's 260z on you tube, he goes over his sr 260 very well...this may help your decision
  23. psh!..elbow grease comes last!!!! go get you some car brite blue max. we use that stuff everywhere in the detail bay at my work, i'll never be able to clean a car without it. simply soak your engine bay and spray it off
