  1. that cars been for sale for a while i'm surprised he hasn't sold it yet. it looks pretty clean.
  2. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=46092 i have this helmet, works great, i bought it on sale though. i too prefer the pedal overall, it gives me a better feel of what i'm doing, kinda like cruise control i feel helpless.
  3. i did a welding class and we only stick welded for like 2 hours then we moved to mig and tig. i still need practice on the tig but mig is definately my favorite. i would like to get a welding job but being 17 it's hard to find places that want to hire me...
  4. those mounts are absolutely beautiful, that alone makes me wanna do a rb swap. good pricing too
  5. i'm doing the L28ET swap not sr20....it'll be a good comparison
  6. wow, great idea. never seen anybody with a bend like that specifically for the BOV to vent that way from the throttlebody
  7. will they only be making this for the sr20 or for other nissan applications?
  8. oh that aint bad. i had a single 2800 watt 15" sub with slotted box and two 1600 watt amps with 5 farad cap, that was before somebody rear ended me and totalled my daily driver. oh well now i get a new car soon. all together that system probably weigh about 150 pounds, too much.
  9. you put an audio system in your z? never saw that coming...what do you got?
  10. i guess you could argue that, i would tihnk it to be true as well. i guess thats one good thing about kentucky, if it's older than '74 no questions asked.
  11. hey Lewis Maudlin, i wonder if the junk yard in salem would weigh your car, they do have a scale....
  12. damn, that makes me hate living in kentucky.it's all good i'm probably going to pheonix for school anyway. what are the emissions laws for cars older than 74 in california?
  13. good to hear somebody's running a 240z 4 speed, thats the setup i would like to be running. but i am kinda back and forth because of the larger clutch size of the 280 5 speed.
  14. same here. does anybody have any pictures of them on a Z with tires?
  15. seems like a better idea, that sump looks like it weighs alot less too. but i would drill two 1" holes in the top as well because if you ever did get below 1/4 tank or whatever if the fuel does slosh around (just by mishap) when the fuel displaces from the bottom its likely to slash against the top, forcing it to run down the welded in baffle, thus creating a even more "anti-fuel starvation" tank....just a thought.
  16. looks pretty heavy to me. whats wrong with getting a muffler shop to fab you up some piping that would lead to the fuel cell? you could easily use some kind of scrap metal to let it hang low enough so that something like intercooler piping could fit in there. even the most basic of welders could fab that up. edit: plus you could retain the stock fuel port like you originally wanted....
  17. yeah aluminum is hard to weld on, i'm new to welding also. i'm only 16 so i'm in the same boat. but you won't get anywhere without trying, after you practice a little you'll soon realize that it's only hardest when you make it so... good luck
  18. i've never seen a custom side feed fuel cell but why couldnt you just buy an aluminum cell and some extra aluminum sheet and simply transfer the feed port onto the side?
  19. i figure the less chance of detonation the better....it's your motor you pick
  20. the welding part is easy, just be careful with the thin metal, dont let it get too hot. if your going to take out the wheel well and put on an extension why not just put in a fuel cell?
  21. oh ok, for some reason i must have looked over your first post. it sense to me now.
  22. if EFI gas tanks aren't under pressure then why does my tank make a psshh noise when i open it to put in gas every other day or so?
  23. i had no idea it was that far along. i'll probably be up there monday or tuesday of next week when i get back from chicago, i'll let you know. it looks good by the way.
