  1. That sounds exactly like something a friend of mine would do. He sleeps with a bean bag and rubber bullet stacked assault 12 gauge under his head.
  2. right on. stud gun, body hammers and a little bit of bondo to get it right.
  3. In they're christmas catalog it says they do. Look up my thread in the paint forum named "Shaving the Z" and you'll see how they fit. You might actually want to order them from Primax Direct and just order the spacer from Modern Motorsports like I did way back when i bought them. A 7" wheel would look tiny in the wheel well, my 8" front wheels look small to me.
  4. That is a cool idea, but for what purpose? Use urethane to bond metal to glass. I watch it happen everyday. Although they're bonding the black strip around the outside of the glass to the urethane, I don't know if it makes a difference.
  5. Oh yeah, I wanted to appologize to Jmortenson for stealing his tail lights. If you see this you may want to check out how they'll be mounted a little more carefully, just in case your interested in the gasket sitting flush with the panel.
  6. This is my project Z, I started on it when I was a sophomore in high school. Now, I,m 19 years old and about to go to the Army so I'm kind of rushing to get it done. It was raining so it was hard to get any good shots. It's hard to tell but the custom taillight panel rolls into the rear body to make it completely flat A shot of the rear stance. Again, it was raining so that's as far away as I could get. The new lower quarter I had to put in. The emblem hole and antennae hole shaved. Here you can see how the new panel was angled I'm using the 4" LED trailer lights from Harbor Freight, this is how they'll be mounted. The quarter was replaced years ago. Lead was used to meet the new to old, it cracked and now I can't weld it up. Tell me what you think!
  7. Overall I like it, but theres just something weird about that quarter panel. It's almost as if it's too drastic for such a flowing car.
  8. 18 does suck to try and use for body work. I too used it and combination of probably a 22 gauge. If your just shaving stuff like that it won't matter. I only used the think stuff on the custom taillight setup I did. That is a good price on some metal. I pay about $30 for a 3*3 piece.
  9. I should've mentioned the fuel pump switch under my steering column, it's out of sight. I used to go to school in the "hood" so i was planning ahead. Now, I'm off to the army so I'm kind off worried about it again. Can't be too safe!
  10. Yes...but you have to have the key to unlock the steering wheel. Your argument makes no sense to me...
  11. I just might do this. Except, I'd probably do it through the console compartment so it isn't noticeable to thieves.
  12. how do you wire it? i had never thought about doing this but it seems pretty cool.
  13. mayolives, that is beautiful.... You and emwhyrohen did a good job with a different core support setup. I'm young and work at a body shop, so obviously i hang around all the local street racing. You should see some of the hack jobs people do just to act like they know they're stuff. nicely done.
  14. I'm like you, I wouldn't take the risk. I would first, threaten the seller that you are going to report them, then if they don't reply, report them! Any reputable seller on ebay doesn't want any kind of negative feedback, so hopefully that will yield your requests.
  15. haha that big fat "baller" wheel is on the wrong side
  16. if you look in the new Turbo Magazine, RSR's RWD drift Tc is 4 lug
  17. i just bid on one on ebay from a 78, i hadn't seen it before i posted this. now i'm looking for a head light switch
  18. Does anybody know if the turn signal switch from a 75 will work in a 77? And what about the head light switch?
  19. so really i don't just need struts and springs i also need strut tubes? i was looking into some coilovers. would the strut tube make a huge difference if i'm cutting them anyway? or does that totally depend on the length of the collar? i'm tired of dealing with suspension. i bought my suspension and brakes already assembled when i got the 240z, then i had a weak spring so i had to buy a whole new set and now this...why would things ever go good? i've been working on this thing since i was 15!
  20. damnit man!!! i wouldn't be mad if i wasn't into the body work stage
  21. i'll try to get some pics up tomorrow by the way
  22. you wanna trade suspensions? haha. as in swap both your front for my front and your rear for my rear. i have the suspension of a 73 under mine...
