  1. the theory behind it is...take your desired psi divide it by 14.7 to get that into a barometric measurement, add one since your above sea level then multiply that by base hp. it will give you an approximate hp. obviously with mods like rrfpr, pistons, blah blah blah your base hp will be higher. for example: 10psi/14.7 = .68+ 1 = 1.68*180 = 302 thats theoretically a stock l28et on .68 bar's power....just a theory so i do not claim it to be correct
  2. the door panel can be taken off in like 30 seconds and it doesn't take a mechanic to do it...take it off, make sure everythings tight... but, if i had to guess the door lock mechanism
  3. you can't think that way!! you have to stay focused. mines taken 4 years so far and i'm just now to body work as of a month ago. clifton, i was kind of scared shaving the emblem off the quarter but i'm glad he resurrected the thread so i could see what it looks like. i had never noticed it
  4. hmm...that might be the same green i stated above on the rx-8, it looks similar. anway, thanks for getting a picture up i couldn't find any
  5. i demand an update! i had thought about buying a totaled s2000 and doing this myself, sweet swap man!
  6. the dark green on rx-8's is sexy. i was set on painting my car that color for the longest. paint code is 27c
  7. ha wow embarrassing i didn't even realize
  8. i work at a body, aftermarket parts rarely fit the way you want them to without modifying them. but, as far as him saying he didn't want to bondo the gaps to make them fit better...thats not his decision. it's what the customer wants as long as he pays labor/materials. body men at my work love it when the customer says "just make it work" because that means easy money. they may not want to modify the kit to make it work because they don't want to mess it up and have to pay for a new one. in my opinion, you should go there raise hell, threaten a law suit and then have them redo the body work. edit: i just now saw the pictures, i didn't read that far into the thread. WHY IN THE HELL DID THEY PAINT THE CAR WITH THE BODY KIT ON THERE!!!!!????
  9. it's good to see someone close to my age on here. i got my first z when i was 15, 3 chassis's, 4 motors, and 2 suspension/brake setups later it's just now (today) ready to start body work

  11. ran this manifold thru a quick search, i only came up with a thread on supra mania. great looking manifold through, i'd definately be willing to pay the ~$350 for it. i wonder if they make them for na-t?
  12. aahhh ok, maybe thats why i was under the impression the work done by ssac was so much inferior. thanks man that puts a whole new perspective on it for me
  13. if i want sarcasm and people who aren't on the forum to add some kind of helpful input i'll get on the local forum around here. but, to answer your question, no it doesn't mean they are crap also it means i've never seen a hks or greddy manifold crack
  14. oooohhh, no it didn't click to me that ssac meant ss auto crap. i've seen all too many ssac manifolds crack...even on hondas!
  15. i'm aware of the difference in heads, thank you. i'll look up these ssac manifolds
  16. alright, thanks guys thats what i wanted to know
  17. i picked one up for $100 from a coworker who replaced his due to a engine problem ( can't remember what it was exactly) but it ended up not fixing the problem and the turbo is just fine. does anybody know any specs about the turbo other than it being a 1.15 AR if i remember correctly. the turbine is considerably larger than the compressor so i thought it would be good for low turbo lag
  18. just checking to see if anybody had used this manifold. i search but only came up with a couple intercooler threads and one thread concerning the intake manifolds for rb's. $2K is alot of money for a full race manifold that doesn't appear to be any different than the x02 design, but thats also at first glance. thanks guys. p.s. check out my other thread concering a 7.2 powerstroke turbo on a na-t
  19. yahoo is your friend...im just kidding. i know its a animated picture but it looks pretty real to me. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f104/tiger61378Showroom/Showroom%20Part%20III/Showroom2001GTRMSpec1SilicaBreathMe.jpg
  20. oooohhhh man! if your looking into a green definately check out the green on the rx-8 paint code 27C, it's super sexy with black wheels and tinted windows
