  1. Agreed, if (when) it goes out, I plan on doing a conversion for it. Overall though, this has speed up the time line. Still need a few odds and ends for it. Next plan is to look out for a WC t5 while putting my interior together. Plans for interior: Finish miata seats, carpet kit, msa speaker box in back, stereo + speakers, speedhut gauges (Maybe autometer). Unless something happens, I should have it running and interior done before the end of this year. Probably sooner.
  2. Ah whats this?! Picked up a rebuilt f body lt1 (mahle pistons, speed pro rings, fresh heads) with two pcms and wiring harness for $500. Just couldn't pass that deal up.
  3. Yeah we can see it. Sounds good very cool.
  4. Dude, you have had such awful issues with your fuel pump. My walbro 255 has never died or done anything wrong.
  5. "if I have to adjust megasquirt why would I spend the money on it? It wouldnt be any different than just keeping it stock and having to adjust it for smog right? " This statement is so wrong I don't even know where to begin.
  6. Fauxre, First I'd like to say, you are very talented for accomplishing this by yourself. Awesome progress and awesome car. Can't wait to see the finished project. I might of missed it, but what are the specs on your engine?
  7. Thats exactly the information I was looking for. Thank you sir.
  8. Good evening gentlemen. I have the opportunity to pick up a SBC 350 with "194" heads. I can't find much information on the actual performance of these heads. Does anyone have any information?
  9. Where did you find your ls1 at? Also dom, find me an ls1 on the cheapppp.
  10. When I was getting voltage from one of the fusible links that was open with the key in the "off" position, with the car running, voltage was fluctiating from 1-20 rapidly. Also, it blew the fuse in the meter. I can't answer the alternator question, although I will say that I checked the connections on it and there was no obvious signs of corrosion or bad contacts.
  11. The development with the LS1 will be exciting for sure. Already a beast of a car, what do you have planned modifications for it?
  12. Haha I was just messing. Your LS1 should be quite an improvement over that.
  13. If you could get it for a good price it would be pretty cool I think.
  14. To anyone interested: Few things I saw: Voltage at battery was just over 12 volts. Two fusible links were receiving 12 volts with key off. There used to be a sub in the back and two speaker wires are still there There is also two aftermarket fog lights wired into the harness. With the car running, I referenced one of the fusible links mentioned earlier that was receiving voltage with the key off, and with the car running (we jumped it) the voltage was all over the place, leading me to believe there is a short somewhere. Any input is appreciated.
  15. Saw speedhunters, disregarded as journalistic crap.
  16. I hate your guts for not answering my question, but I love every update you do. I love seeing the transformation of this car and the awesome work you do to it. Now if I could just save more money!
  17. I'm in the process of going V8 myself Still deciding whether or not to VH45DE or LS1, I'd prefer VH45DE.. and Mckinney told me they are coming out with a swap kit. If the VH swap kit requires minimal fabrication I'm going for it.
  18. Same ones as you for tach and speedo.
  19. They are a very nice upgrade over stock and simple to install. Hug the shoulders nicely. Only recommendation is to add spacers to the back two posts because they sit like a bucket seat if you dont. Also, im going to be buying some speedhut gauges soon, we will be twinsies.
