Also, I wanted to rant a little about the JTR manual. Everyone recommends it and it was the first thing the person on the phone mentioned when I called JTR to check if they had the parts in stock before I ordered. It doesn't mention bolt sizes, nor does it actually show you what your mounts should look like assembled. It feels like it skips so many steps in it, while giving you needless information. In fact, it really didn't give me any information that Hybridz hadn't. As far as measurements and bolt sizes go, once I am done I will post what sizes I used so others doing this swap don't have to scourge the internet or keep test fitting, etc.

The parts fairy came. I'm still waiting on: Headers Knock sensor relocation kit New tailhousing (I'll explain..) Radiator As I was putting on my new Lokar tail shifter, I noticed that it didn't seem to be fitting properly on the tailhousing. Come to find out that the corvette tailhousing is much different than an F-Body one, so I've already ordered the correct tailhousing. I got the new intake manifold gasket on, EGR blockoffs put on as well. Today the engine and tranny should go in. I also found someone local with the DZ push start kit. This thing is nice! I kind of buggered up widening the hole for the new switch, but you can't really tell. I'm thinking about filling it with some rubber or something to clean it up.

Thanks for the help deja, but at the moment i dont have access to a welder so i have to do it "their" way. Im sure in the future ill redo that section.

Honestly, I've had mostly negative experiences with any automotive shop or part maker. Except Dave's Push Start button. Wow is that a nice product with amazing support.

As far as dealing with TEP. I ordered a Cosmetic MLS head gasket through them over the phone. Come to find out it was on backorder and it took much longer than anticipated. What annoyed me is that I had to call them after a week of not getting it for them to figure it out. Oh well.

Good Evening, I'm in the progress of dropping in my 4l60E LT1 with JTR mounts into my 240z. However, in the book it doesn't mention a bolt size to use. Can anyone help me out on this? Another thing, when you drill through the appropriate area, is it going to come up through the interior floor so you can use nuts to secure it? The JTR book isn't very helpful. Thanks all.

As they have discontinued making these im looking for a second hand kit. I would even be interested in just the mounting kit.

Dom, they are extremely comfy and a huge upgrade over the stock seats. I need to figure out something better than the stock lap belt for safety.

Small update to let you know im still here. My father where I store my car and parts is moving soon, but as soon as he gets settled in I should be able to get the engine in within the next month. I put in the drivers side seat in (finally)

Purchased a 2600 stall torque converter. Still need plenty of stuff, as I transition into the fall semester I'll be picking up more things. I plan on putting it in by november at the latest.

Can anyone comment on the effect of removing the heater core from the cooling system? I've read that it actually makes it less effective. Any truth to this?

If you aren't going turbo with the 2JZ, stick with the l28 and go megasquirt or something.

I would actually almost be willing to spend that much to have a stock looking tank with the properties of a fuel cell. Or I might just cut out my perfectly good wheel well and have a cell put it, but another user recommended I get an F body fuel tank. Decisions decisions.
