it idles a little rough. with the new ignition box it runs much better. here is a video with audio of how it sounds with the new ignition box.
It makes power up to 7000-7200. Su's and a header are about it.
It seems to want to spin higher but I don't think I should.
ahaha yeah...I am pretty cheap. I did break down after having lots of problems with my home made ignition box and bought a low end MSD box to get me around town...soon to be replaced with a distributorless system.
sorry... got this companies price mixed with the painless name...I was looking at this one too.

the 18 circuit kit is $219
my Dad talked with the owner and it is a one man business. He does all of the kit building himself.
here the law is that any 81 or older vehicle is exempt. plus you can do whatever for a motor swap and they don't really care as long as the car is more than 25 years old.
I think they should just apply the new smog laws to cars now being made and not change the laws for older cars. California sshould keep their laws because of the problems. I have been to the SF bay area and even there I could see the brown smog across the bay. I think there should be more strict regulations on big trucks than cars. Trucks are always leaving big plumes of black smoke which has to be at least 15-20 cars worth of pollution.
I'd use painless. I am rewiring my car by hand and it is worth it but I was about to go with the painless kit. The painless kit that I saw was like $250 for 20 circuits.
all mine has on the back is the "C" stamping. I am looking at getting mine reground next summer and to build the head as well as the electromotive DIS ignition. That cam may be just a little much for my car but who knows? maybe...
This is the sand flea. It is a shortened vw bug in California. It is a 1600cc flat four that is stock. it can still pull wheelies. it was recently in a mud drag and it had whitewall tires. I'll try to find a bigger picture.
for a z you could not shorten it more than the length of the driveshaft. you could use a short nose R200 and maybe a four cylinder motor and it would be really short.
It runs!!!! I just started it!!! I did break down and get a MSD 5900 box though. It was only like $95...I am still going to go home made with the DIS system. We figured out what we were doing wrong with the home made ignition system once we got the MSD box to fire. It runs way better than with the stock ignition box ever dreamed of running. DIS will be coming next summer!!!
I should have a video sometime this week. I have lots of work to do besides working on my car this week.
your going to have fun with that. I am just running the polyurethane xenon air dam but I really considered that air dam. What are the plans for the car? I could see a group B type rally car coming...
good luck and don't find too much rust.
well David Blaine and Criss Angel both are not real magicians...all of their camera "tricks" are staged. Like when Criss Angel levitates like 20 feet in the air...there are things that you can't see in the camera view that if you were really there would just make him look stupid...
levitating 3-4 inches is one thing but levitating 20 feet is different...
plus when you look at the "upper half" why is the upper half somgood at walking on arms? lol. they are so rich they just pay off their audiences to act supprised...
or control arm bushings.
Check that the retainment nut are tight that hold the strut in place is really tight.
Check the nut on top of the strut is tight.
