    My brothers girl friend just bought (last week) a brand new 2010 Mustang GT (4.6 300ish hp). I was like you're and idiot. The new V6 has basicly the same power, is cheaper and will get much better fuel milage.

    The board price is $250. Installation onto the ecu is $75 or you can do it yourself if you want. Then add $300 for the cable and the single car license. We can also install a base tune for you based on your mods if you dont want the cable or software license.

    I would think headgasket before I thought center section. Do a compression test for sure.

    The blower fan is to keep the injectors cool(er). Not for any other reason. They just wanted the injectors to last a little longer. You need to look deeper into your problem.
