  1. Years ago, when I did my LT1 conversion (95 F-Body), I just excited the field with a wire that was 'hot in run'. I've since done this to a number of other GM alternators without a single failure. IF the caprice is same-same there will be a terminal marked "F". Energize that when the ignition is on and you should be able to sleep tonight HTH
  2. You *gotta* wonder about someone that installs a whale tail AND a shadow kit.
  3. Not sure how you came up with lighter. Dual 2.5's are nearly 70% heavier than a single 3.0.... however, they would flow roughly 30% more.
  4. Rusch Motorsports sells Ron Davis radiators.... 503.668.6805
  5. We're about 110 miles south, as the crow flies. Email me... rontyler@hughes.net Is that a problem???? OK seriously, I'm talking about a certified aircraft. The certificate will even be 'in view' as required by law. Feel better?

    Yup.... performance costs
  7. Nice shot BRAAP took of Mt. Hood...
  8. V, If you want to make the trip down to Oregon... We'll put you up, do some foggies, and take you flying through the Columbia Gorge, around Mt. Hood, let you look down the throat of Mt St. Helens, etc, etc. You can even bring your Wife ... Happy Anniversary, BTW!
  9. You'd be correct on a '78... but he DID say '75
  10. Nice looking car. Is that fuel leaking on the intake manifold?
  11. Very cool. I've considred such mayham but not sure if I could bring myself to actually doing it. I think I'll stick to flying planes rather than jumping from them. Crongrats!
  12. FWIW, I think there are many choices that are better suited to the 510 than an L28.
  13. Thumper, The Z is built far more robust then the BMW. Z's can be driven hard and put away wet, so to speak. Mechanical failures can usually be kept to almost nill with very limited attention. The BMW is quite a bit more fragile and less forgiving to thoughtlessness. Regular preventative maintenance is a must if you want absolute reliability. The pay off is that they have the potential to be very fast indeed. I own both and love both... for different reasons.
  14. Sort of. The E30 BMW, specifically the M3 (same chassis) is the most successful touring car in all of history. Properly sorted, they are demons on the track.
  15. Some factory cars came with them. Google it... that'ell keep you busy for a while
  16. If you can get a WC T5 for $50 I'll pay you for your time to get me one... ...and a non-WC is worth a hill of beans in this application.
