I fail to see where a highly modified S30 fits into this discussion. Be it truth or not, it's off topic. Let's get back to the original posters query.

Great Ron finally a brother in brand with my 6 speed m60b40 in my zx, still need to tie up some ods and ends (wiring, drive shaft and small crap) I have the l6 in my z m coupe

You see, Rons wife made it crystal clear to Ron while we were all standing in the shop recently; "Finish the 510 project before you start any other projects!"
As soon as she leaves the immediate vicinity he starts bugging me about pulling the engine and mocking it up!
Yawn. She's fully aware the mock-up is 'around the corner'. She'll read this and laugh at your feeble attempts.

I'm just waiting for Braap to rip his M3 engine out of his 3 series and give it to RTz, then hopefully we will see this for real.

It'll be sitting in a mock up car very soon.

BMW pumps are everywhere, fairly affordable and, obviously, compatible with the BMW rack. Hence, I adapted the Bimmer pump instead of sourcing a Nissan pump...
The drive pulley is 280zx, pump pulley is Audi 100, and the adjuster is a 280Z alternator adjuster. The mount is homebuilt billet aluminum.

A little history.... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=118747
Last summer, I installed a set of coilovers/HTS dampers from Beta Motorsports, and a fresh 3.36 NISMO Comp. LSD center section, along with a rear disc brake conversion (280zx). A stock L28E and 5 speed was dropped in as well.
Last week, BRAAP offered me a scorching deal on a BMW S52 drivetrain... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=150131
Why?... I've built/driven/campaigned a number of V8Z's. They're loads of fun. Fast, affordable, and effortless to maintain. However, the silkiness and refinement of the Z was lost in every case. I love the smoothness and aural qualities of the L6, but the L6 is so technologically challenged that it requires an incredible amount of money, time, and talent to build generous, street-able power. Some modern alternatives include the JZ and RB. Each has merit. So does the S52
Stock trim is 240HP, with a fat torque curve. 250-260HP is 'easy'. 300HP is not unreasonable with some effort. A street-friendly 9-10lbs/HP is looking feasible... N/A. And boosted results have been very respectable.

Progress!
Crossmember and motor mounts welded in...
Old lollipop...
Revised lollipop...
Boss extends through framerail and welded top and bottom...
Steering shaft is also complete. Gotta mount the BMW pump, re-work the strut towers, and 68.5 small items.

At the Boring U-pull, wife and I saw an unmolested 3.0 SHO with 131K showing on the odometer. Last I checked, that yard was charging $140 per motor.

I DON"T GET IT!
Reminds me of a close friend (of a different marque and a different forum), complaining about the lack of tech info. I asked him about the last time he 'contributed likewise'. Silence followed.
If you've got love, show love. Do it, and show it. Ball is in your court. Blaming others is the easy way.
P.S. Searching will reveal some UBER sweet S130's.

It wont happen there it so much money involved to have the split happen
Still playing children's games, eh wax?

It's not going to fix your problem. The bowls aren't empty on cold start unless something is draining them. Your cold start problems are likely caused by other issues.
P.S. Please refrain from frequent bumping.

Last time I needed a driveshaft most shops wanted $300 minimum so I just walked away. I might have to drive out to the sticks to find a cheap shop.
In Oregon, I normally pay in the $150 range for a shorten & freshen at respected shops. This does not include Nissan branded U-joints, though.
You are going to have to swap the tach
Maybe not. I believe the MSD tach adapter 8920 will work in that application. They run about $50.

Stock LJet with Aftermarket Cams?
in Nissan L6 Forum
Posted · Edited by RTz
A little perspective may help... how many cars can you think of came with Multiport EFI in 1975? Here's a hint, it took GM another ten years to include it on their sports car.
Not sure what details you're looking for, but I can tell you from my own experience that cams and stock ECU don't play well together. Will it run? Sure. Will it run 'correctly', ie appropriate AFR's across the board? Not in my observations.
Not true of L-Jet. The TPS *is* part of the load scheme, and its part of the reason a topped out AFM can serve the original design goals.
Try it and tell us what you think.
