    Thank You! Give that man a cigar. It'll be a cold day in hell when any man tell's me what I can and cannot do with a car that I pay'd for. It belongs to me. I'll crush it, piss on it, let Braap move it with his tractor, or set in on fire... you'll just have to get over it. Morals and automobiles don't mix boy's... leave'em at the door with your coat.     A bit of a tangent... maybe it need's to be YOUR car. YOUR design. YOUR etc. It will take many more years to bare fruit, but I think the potential is greater (both of failure and success). BUT, whichever way it goes, you'll alway's have unbeatable pride in your accomplishment. Steve Grabber (grabbercars.com) is headed down that very path. Drop him a line. He's a terrific guy and would surely share his thoughts and experiences along the way. Tell him I sent you!

    Prayer's on the way. If it matters at all, cancer has been prevalent in my wifes family. Three cases in the last 6 years. Sadly, my sister-in-law didn't make it, but the other two have beat it, with no expectations of reoccurrence. It can be beat.

    You didn't mention if this was something that developed over time or its 'alway's been that way'. The more clues the better. If its the latter, maybe your water pump is the wrong one... throughout the years, GM spun the water pump with both V-belt and serpentine... they are not interchangeable, as the direction of rotation is opposite.

    'Special Ed', A mutual friend of Braap and I, stopped by to show us his new toy... a 1917 Ford Model T. Turns out, Ford was using multi-coil technology (with wood housings no-less!) as early as 1908... . . . .

    Two years ago I paid 11,800 for mine. And, loosely quoting Yasin, its 'nice'. Seems pretty affordable to me. I apologize if my sensibilities are askew. Secondly, its worth roughly 14k today. Still affordable (IMO), and possibly more importantly, it has appreciated in value. I expect this trend to continue, at least momentarily. What, may I ask, did you pay for your 2006 Sienna and 2002 Frontier? What was true 20 or 30 years is irrelevant.

    Now you've done it. I created a youtube account and uploaded one of my favorite vids of the E30 M3. The intake noise is mesmerizing... and far louder than the exhaust. Notice the two-wheel action at 42 seconds.

    This months Automobile Magazine listed the E30 M3 as one of the top 5 'drivers cars' in history. Thank you. Considering its 20 years old and 170k miles on the clock... its still pretty nice.

    Spence, You hit one of my soft spots. Of all the cars I consider affordable by us 'average' folk, my two favorites are S30's and E30's. Here's a few shots of my own personal E30... . . . . . . . . . . I used to have a number of similar videos... pre-hard drive crash. Fun cars to watch and even more fun to drive.

    Well, I can't speak for OTM, but he could configure his Wolf3D system to run the VH automatic... Paddle shifters just became 'easy'.

    My son-in-law's tranny went belly-up under 100K (V8). Maybe a fluke?!?!

    My son-in-law has a 740i. Its been temperamental since day one. I'm fond of BMW's... but not that specific model. It doesn't strike me as very representative of the rest of the BMW line, from a 'drivers' perspective. I much prefer the feel of the 5 series. If you haven't driven a 740 yet, I recommend that be your next step. Happy Hunting,

    Bosch Part# 0 280 130 085. Indeed there is an O-ring on the shaft. Shaft dia., .468". I suspect a .484" hole (31/64ths) would be 'just right'. Mounting hole, .260" Temp range, -40 to +130 C. . . Also, the calibration curve...
