  1. sadly, I dont think I'm going to be able to finish her. having a roof over my head, food in my stomach and my bills paid is the bigger priority, on top of my other projects, I guess what I'm trying to say is the car might be for sale soon, if something doesnt happen, this will have been the fourth s30 project I have failed to complete. If anyone wants a great deal on a mostly rust free 73 rolling chassis and a crap ton of parts PM me.....
  2. lol, local guy in town has a s130 AE with 400 miles, bought it new, drove it for a week, now just pushes it in and out of his garage to clean it, he said no less then $8k for it, still absolutely mint, it hasnt seen direct sunlight in over 20 years as well, since he washes it at dusk, or when its cloudy.
  3. I believe everything is the same between cali and federal z's (s30's anyway) But i never cared much for the 70's bosch EFI systems, also the early z car transmissions dont have any sensors or computers for them, just the reverse switch. the intake from the AFM forward wont have any effect on a stock car, unless its choking it severely. It sounds like you need to check your air flow meter (AFM) for the running rich problem. also, think out your question and organize your messages, it's ok to spend 10 minutes proof reading and editing your message before you post.
  4. He's going to the room in the corner with padded walls and the best security system money can buy! Congrats Phleb!!
  5. FYI $500 is about the average price for a used LSD, unless you can manage to find one at the junkyard.
  6. So i wasnt seeing things, I thought it was supposed to be, the two lights at the top for tail light and brake light, and the bottom, backup and turn signal..
  7. AN oil line fittings are on there way, 10 feet of aeroquip oil line is also on its way, still need to make the battery cable's and I still havent touched the car this week!
  8. could datsun make the electrical system in these cars any more of a pain? When i did my wiring harness, I made everything independent of each other, it grossly over simplifies the system and works REALLY good, but you have to build your own wiring harness though.
  9. arent they the same? just one has holes for turn signals and the other doesnt?
  10. personally, with the amount of money you would spend on a clip, various maintenance parts, gas to the nissan dealer and Tylenol, you could go LSx, make easy power, while still being reliable and you dont have to worry about z32 injectors, timing belts or pulling the motor to change turbo's. the fabrication required isnt that hard and you can be one of the few people with an lsx z32!
  11. have you checked your grounds? (both of you)
  12. did you double check them to make sure it wasnt a false reading?
  13. JDM= japanese domestic market ADM= australian domestic market USDM= united states domestic market UDM= european domestic market CDM= canadian domestic market ..etc..etc
  14. If you need any parts, let me know, I'm parting out a 92 z32 N/A auto.
  15. email racer98 if he doesnt have one, he should be able to get one.
  16. you could also but the filler neck that bolts to the intake manifold, they can be switched to point either right or left.
  17. search for search for s30 turbo conversion or 280z l28et swap or 240z turbo swap.
  18. why not weld the hatch shut, then move the glass up and make the lower portion open like a trunk? similar to fast back mustang.
  19. lol, i totally forgot to make my battery cables today, still gotta make the jumper on the starter, install the remote oil filter and change the valve cover gaskets!
  20. 487x heads with the 2.02 and 1.64 valves and a big isky hydraulic cam.
  21. all z's up to 89 use it. (havent looked at z32's z33's or z34's)
  22. thats what I was thinking, is it a stock converter?
  23. alrighty, getting everything ready to go. there is such a big difference in weight between the two its not even funny. what i think is the stock trans cross member mounting point. custom trans cross member. ground clearance is still a problem, even with the motor sitting up high. and unfortunately I have to pull the motor to get this header out. re-defines block hugger. I think I'm gonna give dyna-tech a call and order some long tubes for a late model circle track car with a set back motor. also still have this random ZG flare sitting on the bench.
