  1. ....And finished the tail light harness last night! all I gotta do is run the grounds and run the harness to behind the dash! I'm going with a painless kit next time.
  2. with bolt in top and bottom mounts almost any radiator with the same dimensions will fit. hell right now I'm testing several spare aluminum radiators from my auto-x car. not to mention the company's that sell aftermarket radiators for z cars. I'm not gonna argue with someone who isnt going to utilize his resources properly.
  3. If you already have the block, take it out and drill and tap it to the next highest size, then use some hose barb fittings and do it that way, PM me if you want me to write up instructions.
  4. because this forum isnt meant to spoon feed information, that and I'm gonna waste my energy typing out a huge list that many people before me have been typing for the past 9 years on this site. Here is an easy solution: take a tape measure, take dimensions of the rad support and go to the junkyard for a few hours matching them to other vehicles, as a matte of fact I'm running a 4 core cross flow copper radiator out of a mid 80's chevy truck, just one of the many possibility's with a little effort.
  5. then your not looking hard enough, as there are a ton more solutions then just two radiators. just order a radiator to your dimensions and weld on the mount or fabricate bolt on mounts.
  6. alright, finished the dash wiring for now, until i relocate the battery and install the ford solenoid, but thats a whole nother project in itself..
  7. why not just convert to MAf and ditch the whole 70's bosch EFI crap?
  8. not a bad write up, sure beats the hell out of some of the other write up's I've seen.
  9. ooohhh, forgot to ask, does anyone have a turnsignal, with emergency flashers wiring diagram laying about?
  10. Ok, so instead of running z couple more wires to the tach I decided to completely rewire it, so this is what round two looks like, round three is coming tomorrow, when i fix the wiring on the power distribution block.... and a video?
  11. search! this topic is covered more then a few times a month.
  12. dude, you just answered your own question.....
  13. personally I have seen more slicktops then t-tops on the road, the car in general is uncommon to see on the road.
  14. its easier to keep coolant cool, then to try and cool hot coolant (for those who dont know) your problem (if the front is stock) is most likely going to be air flow through the radiator. (and adding a hotter thermostat will only make it worse) the acronym k.i.s.s applies here.
  15. the problem is, that the z car in general isnt worth much yet compared to other cars of the same era.
  16. I see four side cover bolts, and the GM logo with a part number cast into the case all with the pics he posted, (the shifter linkage is also way wrong and the as for the reverse being left down case doesnt even have any resemblance of a ford or saginaw) instead of left up, that can be changed with either the shifter, linkage or the gears, but his explaining the shift pattern was sketchy. the best thing to do is to get the part number. Its on the passenger side at the top right above the GM casting. take note on this trans that the lever on the side cover for reverse is pointed up, which would mean that reverse would be located left up, while the one in the z is pointed down, which would make it left down. edit: after looking at pics on google, the reverse linkage isnt on the tail shaft, its on the side cover making it a saginaw 4 speed.
  17. On my way home (3PM) i passed a white dodge truck with a trailer, what was on the trailer, looked to be a silver 72-73 240z race car, didnt get the car number, but was heading east. anyone know this guy?
  18. looks like an iron case muncie to me. motor looks like an early 70's vette motor. (010 casting number) with HEI. looks like a good solid car that only needs cleaned up.
  19. i think you have stalled air in front of your radiator, try sealing off the upper portion of the grill and sealing the holes in the core support.
  20. I've got a 87+ 5 speed out of a z31 I'll sell for $150 with free drop off in southern california.
  21. did you seal the fan to the radiator? have you blocked the upper or lower portion of the grill and made and air box? are you using under drive pulleys? are you using the stock water pump? is the fan working on both speeds or just one?
  22. one question before this gets sent to the shed, why did you throw an lt1 in an ls1 camaro?
  23. shoulda got the number for the towing company and bought it at an auction for uber cheap.
