  1. Looks like it has a carb and a turbo set up installed....blow through maybe? The intake sure looks different. I would see how much rust is present and make my determination from there. It seems to have some interesting parts installed, whale tail spoiler, louvered hood. It is close enough to you for you to make a visual inspection?
  2. Damn, I can't help it....every time I see it I have to say, "that is just sexy!"
  3. Can't wait to see the results in person! What are going to do with the L28 ?
  4. Looks great man. Really like the stance. Looks like a z should.
  5. That is a 280zone original creation. Robert make all kind of kick-ass parts. Check out his stuff if you get a chance.
  6. Josh, if you want to see the ground control coil overs let me know. I have full ground control on my 240z.
  7. Yeah, mine went in cone down for the same reason, just seemed right.
  8. Nice. Why are you running the valve cover breather that way?
  9. Tucson is has less strict emission requirments (for now). As Clifton said, just make sure your car is tuned correctly. SU's are a piece of cake. They will only do an Idle test for your year car, I believe. If you think you are close, you can increase idle a touch, don't go above 1200 or they will fail you for that. That should get you through in Tucson.
  10. When I was a kid in SoCal, there were!! They were everywhere, my Dad had one, 5 people down our street had them, like 5 of my teachers had them. I remember vividly at one of my Pop Warner football games there were like 20 of them in the parking lot.
  11. Brag all you want! That Z is SUUWWWEEETTT!
  12. Every time I drive the z, someone will take time out to tell me about the Z they used to have, how much they loved it, how much they miss it and how they wished their wife/girlfriend hadn't made them get rid of it. As many Z cars they sold, three times that many people have owned one:).
  13. Awesome info!! Linguistics is a very cool discipline. I had a Japanese exchange student stay with us in High School. Pretty funny, my grandmother spoke only Spanish, Taro spoke very limited English. We spoke Spanish at home and English in public, My aunt is Korean from Korea, my uncle is German from Germany (not married to the Korean aunt). Throw in Japanese and weekends were a mess!! The food was incredible though!!
  14. Working on the Z!! .....and my friend's z.....and another friend's z.....
  15. Now that is too true!! Where we run there are NO MARSHALLS, no DE, no classes, just a track and time. I do understand what you are saying and it is totally correct. The original poster, X64V was coming out to run with us and I posted with him in mind.
  16. 10k!!!!! There is some kid here in Tucson that took a civic and used cardboard to make a "body kit". He had a 2x4 for a rear wing and everything. It really, really pissed off all the ricers in town!! Too, funny.
  17. That kind of talk will get you in trouble in AZ. When you say, "they all" and "vato zone" you include a lot of people. Not all Hispanics associate themselves with being "vato", so be careful. Anyway, those spacers are going WAY screw up the bearings! The interior is fugly at best. Overall, there is no way I would ever want to drive anything like that.
  18. Well, mine is painted ultra-flat black with 8 cans of Krylon. I have pieces of a 72 race z, a 72 daily driver z, a built to hell motor, heli-coiled shift knob, crash survivor Compomotive wheels with clear coat cracked off, seats out of a Supra that are spray painted, bent right frame rail so my hood doesn't close correctly, and a damn sunroof (!), does that qualify? Oh yeah, I race it on any and every track I can find.
  19. Again, "In a mixed Group..i.e. test day" not everyone is on the same schedule as you, people are on and off on their own schedule, no run groups." So, what I mean by this is if you are on a cool down lap, others may not be. There are tracks here that have test runs all morning with no flagging whatsoever. Also, if on a cool down lap, stay off line. Seems logical, but it happens a lot. Actually got Hamilton penalized in F1 a few weeks ago.
