  7. Working as a Tech myself, this is pretty much exactly what I was going to write. I completely agree. Sometimes I do a 4 hour job in 1/2 hour and make great money but other times it's a 1/2 hour job and takes 4 hours and I loose my ass. Seems like shops are raising prices and paying techs less. Techs used to see close to 50% of the labor rate. Nowadays your lucky if your seeing 20-30%. And like Jasper metioned. There's a huge tool investment . I'm well over 100K myself. Like mentioned earlyer . You only get R&R time for the most point but theres lots of time involved in testing, cleanup, racking, writing , etc etc...

  9. Remember the painless harness is probably not installed exactly like stock. You said when you removed the lead on top of the headlight switch , they worked correctly. And when you reconnected it it blew the fuse. You are going to have to manually test/trace the other wire to see how it is hooked up. It may indeed be run to the parking lights, but you may have a short to ground. Use your VOM and test the resistance between that wire and a good ground point on the car. That should tell you if you have a direct short to ground.
  10. You need to have the correct amount of fuel and timing control.

  12. They may have included both the coupe and 2+2 Sections.
  13. Why do you say the L28et isn't cost effective? You'll get more bang for the buck then you will with the 2.3? ford motor.
  14. I had a couple of people ask for these, sorry it took so long.

  19. You need to put a fuel pressure gauge on it. Pulling the line off and thinking its getting fuel, just doesn't cut it.
  20. If you have fuel pressure and power to the injectors. When checking for spray, smack the injectors with a big screwdriver. They may just be stuck, very common. That's laymen terms. Hopefully you understand it but I've been up for 2 days and now a couple too many beers.
  21. These are more like "Trophy Cases", than garages.
  22. You need to start testing for draws from the battery back.
  23. Let me see if I can dig up some descent pictures. I posted the on here before. I pretty much just machined a flat spot on the manifold, hogged out a hole for the exhaust, drilled and tapped 2 holes for the bolts. Been running it like this for many years and never had a problem.
  24. You don't have to even weld on the manifold to use an external wastgate. You can just machine an area on the manifold to bolt the wastegate to.
