  1. Where in the NW burbs are you located. I got a couple spare engines if your interested. If your close I can come take a look to see whats up.
  2. Best bang for the buck. I say go Honda. The civic you were looking at might not have had all the bells and whistles but you can get them and still be quite a bit under your price.
  3. Thanks for the info Tony. I think we're gonna go with an sr20det. If anyone has any info or opinions feel free to add. Thanks
  4. Anybody here familiar with engine swaps for a 1977 Celica? or could point me to a good forum. Hopeing there's a newer motor that mostly bolts up. Thanks.
  5. Good enough answer for me, hopefully it saves some others from the same mistake. (For everybody) If you are going to run MS and dont't want to port the intake, you can put the SX TPS onto the stock datsun TB
  6. Why would you put on on without porting the manifold?
  7. Go buy a DVOM. You can get a decent one for cheap. That is not the place to save money. You need one to properly install and diagnose wiring.
  8. What are you talking about. You definately should NOT have a perfectly good head resufaced. Why take away material if it's not needed. A machine shop that would resurface a good head would be scam artists.
  9. This goes for everybody. NEVER trust the color of any wires. Test meters are cheap and easy to use, so USE them. This applies to homes, cars, boats, spaceships , etc.. If you don't know how to use one or are too cheap to buy one, then DO NOT MESS WITH IT.
  10. Love those wheels. Now if I could only afford them, oh and my Z's on the other side of the country
  11. I just made my own oven from scratch. Uses less power than most ovens, cooks evenly, and was a hell of a lot cheaper.
  12. Very simple. Wire it to the IGN hot behind your column switch(looping/bypassing the IGN switch), A ground , and usually there's also a wire for the hand brake switch. or a P/N switch.
  13. Well, we really need more information before we can help. What is your C/R, boost, advance, intercooled, what RPM, FP, etc?
