  1. Yeah I did my dash about a year and a half ago w/herculiner. Looks almost just like yours and it's holding up great. I had patched / repainted it before but it never held up for a long period of time. The herc. is strong/flexible enough that it should last basicly forever.. And you can't beat the price.. If anybody else dose this.. Dont use the cheap duplicolor or other bedliner. The Herc is good and cheap at about $20 quart. I put on 3 thick coats and still have over half left. You can reduce the glare by controling the xylene cut or just brushing it when it's almost cured.
  2. Looks great ! ... The only thing I would change, is to angle the center gauges towards the driver .....
  3. Wow, BRAAP . That engine is set far in. Going for the mid engine huh . lol Did you totally reconstruct the firewall on the inside?. Got any more pic's of that..
  4. Yes but the 240Z tank has smaller in/out tubes on the tank. Witch in my opinion are too small and cause exsessive strain on the pump. You can either replace the tank with a later modle fuel injected tank or put in a fuel cell. Other options are to run your feed line off the bottom drain hole or weld a sump pan to the bottom.
  5. Well I can't give away all my secrets ( ; but.. Start with this link. Read the Forum.. http://www.alumilite.com/ . Usefull for many other things too. If you need help E-Mail or PM me...
  6. That's cool. Too bad the cylinder wall was cracked..
  7. It is a Toshiba transistor array. ( DIP or ZIP) it think.. you can get them for about $2-$10.. Just search MP4001 under IC reference guides.....
  8. looks like you still got a bit of block sanding to do ( ;
  9. Use a pulley puller. Also, make sure to inspect the keyway and dampner..
  10. Give us a link to the sellers description. If they are the cheapy ebay turbos, I would stay away. Read some posts, you'll see what I mean... I'm using a T3/T04E 57 .. It's a great turbo depending on the rest of your setup but when I have the cash I'll upgrade to a GT38 probably..
  11. Yeah, cutting springs is not good.. LOL . I'm drunk
  12. I love the look of your yellow ZX. I remember seeing some pics of it a long time ago. Looks like your fiberglass work on the back cracked.. I did this , my first one craked just like that but The recent one I did all metal work, It's worth the time. Much more solid , will last forever....
  13. What kind of temerature probe / thermostat are you using for the fans? .. You need to put it somewhere the heat retention/dissipation(SP, Sorry I'm drunk) ..... is better. Slows down the switching of the thermostat/fan control... Or you can build a simple delay circuit..
  14. As long as you have no aftermarket electronics hooked up, you should have no draw. Except for maybe the clock. Radios will usually also have slight draw. If you drive it at least once a week, a small draw is ok. I would say nothing over 30ma or so...
  15. Turn everything off in the car and put your DMM in series between your batttery and the positive cable. That will show you how much draw you have.
  16. That gauge you pictured is NOT a volt meter.. It is an amprage meter. Use a DVM or DMM to check your voltage directly at the battery.
  17. Don't go throwing parts at it. First put on a fuel pressure gauge. see what it reads at idle/under load. If all is good then start diagnosing the electrical components. Instead of replacing. Test the AFM and TPS. Also check the temp sensor. and injectors. etc. Search this site. This has been gone over many times. Sometimes you get lucky just replacing parts but most of the time you'll kick youself in the ass. When you spent money on parts you didn't need and it was just a 2 cent hose or whatever. Goodluck, and if the basics don't work come back and ask more questions, make sure to post what you have already diagnosed.
  18. It sounds like you left the spacer on the end of the crank. lol I acctually did it a long time ago. Also you didn't say, but make sure you also install a pilot bushing/bearing. What size clutch/flywheel are you using?
  19. Nice job. The car is comming along nicely. I wouldn't bother spending time on painting the exhaust manifold though. Unless it's a real ceramic coating it won't last much past your first run..
  20. dude , get yourself a nice set of air nibblers and shears ...
