    Finally someone found a use for 928's lol. Having raced/autocrossed just about every porsche out there. don't get me wrong, they're a different animal. Extremly fun to power through corners. When they came in the shop, it was another story. Everybody avoided them like a plauge. The electronics, it was like Lucas all over agin with the Jags. Lol I do love a challenge though. BTW. ?If this post make no sense I'm a couple cases past.

    The drain is large and low pressure. You shouldn't have any problems with leaks. Just make sure the hose is rated for oil and can take the heat. Silicon hose should be fine.

    Yes, they help spread the load. Just like with thin stamped valve covers.

    Do you have the steel pan reinforcements in place?

    You need to unplug it.

    Well almost any Z is worth $500 just for parts but depending on your skills, time, money etc. If you can weld and are ready to do a lot of work or have lots of money to pay someone else. That rust seems pretty major, not on the panels but floor/frame etc. If you want something to drive right away I would find something better.

    As everytime this question gets asked, it really depends on what you looking for. If you have a smaller budget and want to stay simple. The L28et can go a long way. The 2 motors your considering are in a complete different catagory. So first you need to figure out what YOU want and WHY?

    Check you vacuum lines. May have come off at the bottom of the control unit.

    I would double check that gauge. 30PSI across the board seem too even to be any kind of damage.
