  1. if you call autometer, ask them to refer you to a speedometer shop in milwakee(?) that does 3rd party electronic speedo senders for other makes. That's how I got one for an autometer elec. speedo for an rx7 transmission (a cable one to start with)
  2. as long as the housing impaired doesn't wind up living impaired...?
  3. If you're planning on mass producing them, you may want to look into suspension techniques rear sway bar mounts, and incorporate them into the design.
  4. in the long run, travel to small claims court, time, hours wasted, etc, isn't going to be worth 93 bucks, unless you want his credit ruined, which it will do. So, figure out if that's what you want to do On the other end of the spectrum, a few years ago my stub axles were toast, and I needed to get my Z on the road. I needed a set, and new ones were 270/piece from courtesy nissan. I asked hybridZ for help, and chevsun emailed me asking for my address. He emailed me the next day telling me he shipped the axles out, and to pay him back when I received the items. I was very happy with such a response, I sent him a check back immediately for the parts, written for more than what he asked. Mikelly was also kind enough to send me a rear A-arm for cost of shipping when mine was slightly bent and I urgently needed a replacement Thanks hybridZ guys
  5. I go to kragen or equivalent, and buy preflared lines with 3/16 fittings, which are exactly the same as 4.7mm brake lines the Z has. Around here I've seen them come in 4 and 6 foot long sections. $7 line bending tool from napa, and voila. problem solved. you might wind up with a little bit extra line left over during the bend, but be creative and use it instead of cutting and flaring it out. IMO, that's an easier way to go
  6. wow, awesome collection. mine's limited to an m38 mauser and a mosin nagant m44 mauser stock has been sanded since, and stock reblued.
  7. maybe if we can get enough members from other Z forums... how much are we talking per set of 16x8s?
  8. mine is a turk m38 model year 1938, produced in '43. I believe it has blowback to vent gas. I'm looking at picking up some better ammo that aimsurplus.com carries, it's polish ammo manufactured in the 70s, which is much better than stuff I was using, stamped with 1946 The mosin nagant m44 I took with me did an excellent job. And it is true, in order to preserve accuracy, bayonet must be extended while firing! otherwise it does hit to the left, believe it or not
  9. the accuracy was horrible, and there was almost no risk of catastrophies. Checked with a few locals familiar with mausers and old ammo about this before continuing
  10. I do! that's what I get for using 60 year old ammo!
  11. how about: FERRARI JAG XKE TOYOTA2K you know, to throw people off
  12. guys, if you're interested, please post in the group buy forum
  13. HM, nm. friend's shop does not do konigs...let me search a bit
  14. I think Konig WILL manufacture custom rim size and offset, if there's enough demand (ie. bulk buy of 20 wheels). let me ask my friend

is it me or is that rotor painted same as the caliper? could be just the lighting, but texture looks painted?
  16. they're ZG flares, available for under 200 bucks from classicdatsun.com. wheels looks like 17x8 front, 17x9.5 rear
  17. Thanks guys, your offers are greatly appreciated. I got a few friends in SD that already agreed to put me up for the night if I was going there. Good to know I can count on hybridz folk to help a fellow out!
  18. driver's side is reverse threaded on the steering rack. I just saved you 2 hours of profanity
  19. OK, better idea. Seller's roommate is my friend, and he's coming up to get a 72 plymouth fury from a mutual friend. He'll rent a 1500 series chevy, tow bike up here, rent a tow dolly, and take the fury back with him. I'll split the cost, and it's a door to door delivery since he'll be crashing at my place
  20. you never heard an uncorked 3 rotor na rotary, huh
  21. jaime: Well, my gf might get upset and hit me for oggling too much. A little is ok with her though. I used to own the exact same bike about 3 years ago, so I still have my leathers. As far as the condition of the bike, I know its current and previous owners and the history about 4 years back. The owner's also a buddy of mine, and if I was to fly in, he'd be picking me up at SAN. I was in SD back in March, and I saw the bike in person quite a few times I also ordered a touring windshield just incase I did decide to ride it back, that way I'd be less fatigued. However, the heat might do me in. Tim, thanks for the offer. I have a few friends in SD, so I'd be crashing with one of them. As for the plane tickets, that's southwest's "FUN FARE" which are non-refundable, special deal, limited seating and include all extra fees in the bundle. Ups and downs on that one. About the Gt... the 2nd time i was planning to go back to the JY, that whole week was rained out with the storm
