  1. do all nissan quest models have the same stud length, or do they differ with the years? are these the pieces to use with the 240sx rear disk conversion?
  2. rims, no. tire sidewall height and stiffness, yes. suspension, yes
  3. sounds like you got an ebay t04b special, .6 cold, 1.15 a/r hot side, it's a diesel turbo off a truck, i think
  4. k, if you guys want to get technical, it's an eccentric shaft
  5. the stock power plant was turbo? superchargers have parasitic loss. Rotaries don't make a lot of torque. That, and everything's easier with a turbo for the rotary since the turbo side has a huge after market for it.
  6. It all depends on the feedback from others. Like I said, it depends on what your setup is. This is my setup, so you can see why I don't need a PS rack. If you have tires wider than 205 with the l28 and stock rack, it's going to be a pain in the butt to turn, I'm talking from experience of turning my 225 tires w/ stock rack and a smaller diameter steering wheel. but feedback's better when moving
  7. to answer your questions: how much? They go for about 100 bucks on rx7club, so... let's say 60 + shipping. Condition? My friend gave it to me when he converted his GTUs to a manual steering rack (for weight and racing), and he said it worked just fine. How hard is it to put in? I've no idea, since I'm not going to be using it. I got it because I was originally going to do an LT1, and wanted the ease of power steering. Now I don't need it, since I have no weight over the front wheels. Much like the rest of the stuff on this board, it's a one-off swap dealie. On the upside, if someone wants to make the swap, lot of guys on rotary boards ditch PS for manual racks.
  8. nissan patrol. honda made the passport, and it was a rebadged isuzu rodeo
  9. anyone interested in making this conversion? I've got a power steering rack out of an 89 rx7 gtus that I have no use for, since I don't have any weight over front wheels anyway. I took comparison shots of it next to the stock Z steering rack if someone wants to venture out and make the swap. I'll let it go pretty cheap too
  10. lol! at least he isn't selling the car....
  11. Duct tape: A useful tool to fix almost any problem. Works much like the force, it has a light side, a dark side, and holds the universe together. If you can't fix it with ducttape, you haven't used enough ducttape. See also: JB WELD WD40: If something isn't moving but should, use WD40. If opposite situation is required, see ducttape.
  12. It's something I'll take a picture of... and then it's something that fl327 will stand next to and flip me off while I'm taking said picture? It's on a nissan patrol chassis with a small block chevy under the hood
  13. I emailed Ernie today, and got the generic response: The part in BOLD font bugs me. A lot. Unless they're implying just the type of card, and not requesting the actual #. Never send your CC# over email or any form unless it's a secure transaction verified by verisign, thawte, etc.
  14. I said I wanted a literocola, not a large Farva!
  15. stock 2nd gen rx7 shiftknob weighs about 1lb-1.5lb, believe it or not. mazda put quite a bit of thought when redesigning the rx7 for 2nd gen, and went through a lot of hoops to save weight (alum. jack, alum control arms, alum brake calipers) so there's probably a good reason they used a weighted knob
  16. you guys sure that's not a scarab airdam?
  17. on the right side of the fuse box, 2nd or 3rd fuse down.
  18. I have run both azenis and ziex 512 on my neon. azenis - great tire. really great. downside: only comes in 195/60/14, but that's the right size for the neon (14x6 rim) ziex 512 - good for rain, decent tire, not noisy, barely halfway worn down after 15k miles. downside: soft sidewall, lot of sidewall flex. good daily driver tire
