  1. I figured I'd bump up this thread with an update. For reference, the car is 100% stock. After that post 2 years ago, I got these tires put on my daily driver mazda 3s, in 205/55/16, which is the stock factory tire size. So far I put 27k on the tires, they probably have another 8k miles left in them However, the problems... once I rotated front to back, I got severe road noise between 45-70mph in the front. Tires have been rebalanced several times, alignment's fine (was slightly off in the front, not enough to cause a problem, and rear was fine). Several america tire locations said it was cupping due to suspension travel (car's bone stock, shocks are good) I figured it'd wear in, drove a few thousand miles, rotated the tires to see if the issue would go away.... nope, now it's present on all 4! I'm lost, and at this point, next set of tires won't be directional.
  2. anal cancer. no butt jokes from me, too easy, too soon.
  3. brokenkitty.com, and msa doesn't make ls1/t56 mounts. you should probably read the v8 forums
  4. anyone have any experience with these? I'm thinking of using this to have a single side exit (might be a tough fit where the original Z muffler sat) with dual exhaust and an X-pipe in one. Primarily looking to be able to squeeze out x-pipe functionality out of this, and restricting the system to 1 muffler at the same time. Obviously this isn't something that would fit in the center, and I'm not looking into running dual mufflers out on both sides- reasons are expensive and more weight, and fuel cell offset to the passenger side does not permit me to put an exhaust there. On the same note, what are the thoughts of dual 2.5" pipes running into single 3" Y-pipe to 1 muffler out back? I already have a magnaflow straight through 3" muffler, so that may not do a whole lot of quieting down the car. This is the magnaflow muffler I have: For reference, this is for an LS1/t56 setup. Aforementioned dynomax muffler dimensions: Case Shape Oval Inlet Diameter (in) 2.500 in. Inlet Quantity Dual Inlet Location Offset Outlet Diameter (in) 2.500 in. Outlet Quantity Dual Outlet Location Offset Internal Construction Glass-wrap perforated tube Muffler Material Stainless steel Muffler Finish Natural Case Length (in) 25.000 in. Overall Length (in) 20.000 in. Thickness (in) 4.750 in. Width (in) 9.750 in.
  5. too weak? I'm seeing everything on Tilton 7/8, I'm assuming that the stock Z clutch MC is too weak? Reason I'm asking is because tilton 7/8 + all lines/adapters come out to be $165. I have a pretty new clutch MC (Z is 5/8, if memory serves) for my Z already
  6. you should reply to him "well, you can apologize and send me a product, and I might consider taking down all my posts about you" and then not do it.
  7. Sweet thanks! Should I pick up Astroglide or KY Jelly? kidding! thanks a ton! let me know what I owe you
  8. i agree with josh817... in the 2nd vid he rams the integra more than once... i'd be pissed off. It wasn't accidental either
  9. well, if you guys want to get technical, GM did produce a 2 rotor and 4 rotor corvettes
  10. honestly i played it on the way there in my car. couldn't do it on the way back since the car has no stereo "Dude, what kinda car do you got?" 'I'VE GOT A BITCHIN' CAMARO!"
  11. actually, impact was in the front, pole + car, and the pole ruptured the battery. the rear looks like that because it had an RS kit at some point, and PO pulled it off
  12. not really, but it was cheap. under 5k, salvage title, 27k miles on the clock, pulls hard. rear hub and brakes are shot, but i don't care. And it left about 30 feet of 2 black stripes down the road more than once on the way home. battery exploded when it was initially hit, and that's why the engine looks like ♥♥♥♥. I'll be cleaning that up and making it prettier, but damn that motor pulls hard
  13. would you really expect anything less (more?) out of John Coffey?
  14. we used the same stuff to rattlecan capt furious's exhaust
  15. I just want to see how an LS1 Z feels like. No comparisons, just a feel - that's all
  16. are you in fresno, or closer? cuz fresno's 3 hours away or so
  17. honestly, i want to feel torque increase in ls1, but in a car that's 1200lbs lighter. i want to see how different linear torque feels in an ls1 z vs an ls1 fbody. i drove an 02 camaro (granted it may have had a maf issue) and it felt slow.
  18. Yep, just as the title says.... Anyone in norcal bay area willing to let me drive a couple of miles in their LS1/t56 S30 Z? I would like to feel out the swap in action before fully committing to dumping the motor/trans into the car (and the money on that car) I'll spot you gas and lunch (and you don't have to pick me up, I can drive myself over). Any help would be much appreciated.
  19. uh, control arms and teh rear crossmembers? you don't need to install the diff or halfshafts to make a roller. the hub is triangulated by the control arm and strut, so that's all you need. bolt in front/rear diff crossmembers and rear A arms
