  1. Stony, Are you going to be running nitrous to flash the converter? That is really what you need to do as you don't want a super loose converter to build boost on the line. You will slip a lot on the top end if you use a loose converter that builds boost on the trans brake. Justin
  2. I just stumbled across these pictures. Gives me some interesting ideas for incorporating this into a 240z... I need to measure the frame rail spacing of the sc300 now... Justin
  3. I'm stumped on this one. I like the rectangular piece, but I'm not sure if its more efficient then the round piece... Justin
  4. I've just read that the taller the tire, the more halfshaft and stub axel problems I would have. I would like to run a 28X9 or 28x10.5 tire, but I'm worried about the stub axels. I would benefit on using a taller tire since I'll be using the R200 3.54 R&P with a TH400. I don't feel my criteria are weird. I'm trying to choose a combination that will be more reliable. Z-Gad runs the 26X11.5 JnJ runs the 28X9 Justin
  5. I'm trying to figure out which tire I'm going to run next season in my 280z. I've been trying to decide between these two. I'm just not sure if the shorter wider tire would be easier on the stubs then the narrower taller tire??? What are the general rules of thumb for drivetrain abuse and tire size? MT 26x11.5x15 ET Streets Or MT 28X9X15 ET Streets http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.php?item=ETStreet Regards, Justin
  6. The far left stub axel is what I'm looking for. It doesn't neck down..
  7. So for those that haven't followed the build, these are KA24 heads welded together? Justin
  8. I would as well be interested in purchasing a 40 spline stub axle. I wouldn't be interested in purchasing a stub axle the factory spline count. If your going to make something, you might as well provide a part that isn't currently available as far as strength is concerned. Justin
  9. Go for the 5/8" radius and make sure the radius exit is tangent to the runners. Justin
  10. Any update with pictures on the front of the car taken to show fender to wheel clearance? Justin
  11. Whats the story on the driveshaft shop axels? Are they a custom heavy duty driveshaft? Justin
  12. Yeah, looking at going that direction soon. Justin
  13. Well, how much money would people be willing to pay for a set of 40 spin stub axels like pictured above? I could work out the design in solidworks and we could shop it around to machinists as a group. I don't want to get involved as being the inbetween man. I could do the design for the group though. Justin
  14. I have seen many different castings for the knock off valve bodies. This one seems to be the most authentic to the actual HKS GT2 60m gate. I have this sitting on my desk at work for a while not as a conversation piece. I'll let it go for $80 shipped if anyone wants it:
  15. Its the factory toyota auto bellhousing. I believe you can use the A340 or A341 bell housing (2JZGE or 2JZGTE). You need a adapter plate that allows you to bolt it to the TH400 once you've cut off the factory TH400 bellhousing. You then use a hybrid converter. Regards, Justin
  16. I have one of these OBX R200 differentials. Its new in box. I've decided I'm going to go with a R230 rear differential so I will no longer be using the OBX unit. I purchased it off of EBAY for $400 shipped. I will sell it for $300 shipped in the continental US. Justin
  17. Oops, spaced out the pictures. Here they are: Regards, Justin
  18. I was going through my dads transmissions he had laying around. I'm wonder if you guys could help me identify what I have here: Damn, I'll upload the pictures in a minute. Regards, Justin
  19. I was modeling the amount of grinding necessary to match the t4 flange outlet to the collector outlet. That can be seen in green. Also, this does simulate going in and welding up the four interior corners of the collector/flange merge as there is a abrupt shoulder there. Anyway, heres the picture. 20. For those that purchased the subtle Z kit: Where you happy with the fit and finish as received? Justin
  21. Post up the uncorrected chart! I want to see what it actually made today w/ this cool weather we've been having. Justin
  22. The T6 collector is about 4.25" tall w/ flange. The T4 collector is 5.25" long w/ flange due to the smaller area it is merging into. I've been looking at building a divided 6 into 2 turbo header for my 2JZ. I will be using 1.5" schedule 10 SS piping for the manifold. Here is an interesting model I did in solidworks comparing the T4 and T6 divided flanges when used for a 6 into 2 collector. It seems to me that the T6 collector would be much easier to build since the tubes match up much better to the turbine flange inlets. From my models it looks like you would have to crush down each 3-1 collector on the t4 flange for it to fit up properly. What yall think? Justin Regards, Justin
