  1. Great numbers for low boost. Is your GT4202 a journal or ball bearing center section? Justin
  2. In a cnc or just and end mill? CNC's are out of my budget as this is just a hobby. Justin
  3. I'm trying to get the machinist to get his butt in gear. I've worked with him in the past, but he seems to be very booked up right now. I've put a deposit of $650 down with him so Its hard to just split and use a different guy. I apologize for the wait. Regards, Justin
  4. You'll should check out Jay Hitchcock's car. He's running 18X11.5 (305/30-18) in the front and 18X12.5 (335/30-18) in the rear: http://album.hybridz.org/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=12636
  5. I do realize that its not really necassary. I just think it would be pretty cool and set my car apart from most S30's. Justin
  6. I found these pictures of a very cool S2000 with a 2JZ being swapped in. Since I've recently acquired a welder and a full shop area to tear into my car, I'm going to go a bit nuts with it. I'm thinking of setting the 2JZ back behind the steering rack in my 280z. Regards, Justin
  7. The welder has landed. I went ahead and purchased the Thermal Arc Arcmaster 185. I sprung for the largest argon cylinder quimby welding would sell me. Can't wait to set up the shop. http://www.thermadyne.com/evolution/brandProductSpecific.asp?mernbr=1&div=tai&catnbr=99&pdtnbr=567 Justin
  8. I'm planning on dumping the exhaust just in front of the passenger side rear tire. I'm not sure that it will really help all that much with smell, but its worth a shot. I'm mainly doing it to simplify exhaust layout on my the Toyota turbo engine. Justin
  9. Why did you end up going with the 280z rear strut tubes? Justin
  10. Wow, scary ♥♥♥♥. Not too far from here.
  11. I've been looking at Air Compressors for a while at various stores. From what I've found out, I want an air compressor that is dual stage. I'm leaning towards a 80 gallon twin stage compressor capable of 175 psi. This should help me maintain good CFM at higher pressures while not constantly running due to lack of capacity. Beyond that, what should I look out for when choosing a compressor for my shop? What brands are good? What do you guys think about this one? http://portercable.cpoworkshop.com/compressors/c7550.html?ref=yahooc7550 Regards, Justin
  12. I'd check the tach and the rear end gearing first. Justin

Those wheels look great! What size did you end up going with? Also what size tires are you running?Justin
  14. I agree that the spokes look much better then the Konig wheels. From the ebay listing, it says: Model: ROTA RB R (Deeper lip and concave) Regards, Justin
  15. Here's an ebay link for 16X8 RB's in +10 offset: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/16X8-ROTA-RB-R-WHEELS-240Z-280Z-AE86-AS-PANASPORT_W0QQitemZ140142331113QQihZ004QQcategoryZ43957QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting Regards, Justin
  16. I was just looking at the above chart some more, and they not a RB-R 16X8 with +10 offset. Seems workable: RB-R 1680 10 4X114.3 73 FBLK 24.00 RB-R 1680 10 4X114.3 73 RBRZ 4.00 RB-R1680 10 4X114.3 73 HBLK 4.00
  17. The Rota 16X8 are just now coming out. The only 16X8 in 4X114.3 currently in stock has too much offset(20mm). http://www.rotawheel.com/AVAILABILITY.htm
  18. What kind of scales where used? Same scales both times? Regards, Justin
  19. That "probzilla" is backhalved and on nitrous. Very cool car, but not very comparable. Take a look at Z-Gad's car. He's running the Nissan R200 rear end with Z31 CV axel conversion. He's running a bit of nitrous on his 2jz with a 76gts turbo (very close to the gt4202, just a slightly larger inducer diameter: 71 240z 2JZGTE TH400 ...(8.915 @ 153.60) http://album.hybridz.org/showgallery...00&ppuser=7981 http://videos.streetfire.net/video/a...e90005d70d.htm
  20. Just a example of what E85 has done on 4g63's. 41psi and 733awhp My main goal with the big cams and shimless buckets is to gain a large sweet spot where the car makes power. I want to get away from the 1500rpm peak you see on a lot of supras with stock motors and big turbos. Sure they make big peak numbers, but the area under the curve isn't great. Justin
  21. Are there issues with the factory toyota timing belt? I've seen that Greddy makes a "extreme" timing belt and I was curious if there is any need for it? Regards, Justin
