  1. Sure looks nice! Link to the sale: http://www.racingjunk.com/post/715193/1973-Datsun-240-Z-turn-key-encl.-trailer-poss.html
  2. 520 some pounds http://http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=97320&highlight=Complete+Engine+Weights+Table
  3. 32 or 34 would be cool, but a real pain to do!
  4. I was looking for camo paterns for painting my chevy 5.0's valve covers and came across this site: http://lish0616.363.net/CAMO%20PATTERN.jpg It has a few good paterns. Edit: One more www.industryfigure.com/berkeley/camo.htm
  5. Is this the stuff? http://tapeinfo.com/TapeInfo/Datasheets/3M/2153/4611.aspx If so, send me a pm for 3 sheets, please. thanks Ben
  6. Man, guys... it's going to be a hell of a race at SEZ! Be sure to get some video and good luck to both of you! Ben
  7. Is the tape a flat plastic type or a foam type? Would it work for sticking on headlight cover brackets? If so, I'm interested...
  8. Aw crap... Turns out the engine is not quite "ready to run" as the guy advertised it. Far from it, really. The dizzy cap was shattered when I got it and it didn't come with a carb or alternator. So I need to buy all three plus the tranny/ bellhousing and starter, etc. I was wondering if I can buy a vac. advance distribuitor and use that so I don't have to mess with the computer? I'm really sorry if this has been covered before. I tried to search, but don't really know what to search for and I'm very frustrated. Thanks for your help Ben
  9. Someone (olderthanme?) suggested jacking up the rear so you have to tip the engine less to clear the tranny. That was on an l28, but it might help here too. Ben
  10. No cover over the fuses? Sure is pretty tho! I'd love to see the inside, too.
  11. I can't see the website right now because my computer is kinda' gimpy at the moment, but you guys have convinced me to do a rattle can paint job on my 79 zx untill i can get something better!
  12. I have a '79 zx that will be getting an '85 305 soon. JTR (jagsthatrun.com) has a mounting kit for the zx cars. As dr_hunt said before, use the search as much as you can, but if you still can't find what you're after, go ahead and ask.
  13. I'll bet the tranny noise and tach/speedo issues are keeping less mechanically inclined people from bidding. Looks like a nice car, tho...
  14. sorry if you said before, but what diff do you have in there? Sweet ride, by the way.
  15. Looks nice! *sigh* I jumped the gun and bought a 305, but one day I'll have a Ford 5.0 Z
  16. Thanks wheelman. From what I've read, the '85 is internially ballanced, so this :http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/performance_parts/store/catalog/Product.jhtmlPRODID=914&CATID=913.html should work, right? Also, what exactly does internially/ externially ballanced mean? Thanks! Ben
  17. Hey guys, First off, let me say I have searched numerous times (Here and Thirdgen.org) but couldn't find what I need. Last week I bought an 85' 305 from a caprice off eBay. From what I've read (and can assume) these cars only had automatic trannies. So, what all do I need to make the engine able to bolt up to a T5? I just found this: http://www.thirdgen.org/f-body-auto-tranny-manual-tranny-swap Is that about right? Would it be easier to find a 700r4? My car has a five speed already, so I think keeping it manual would be easiest, right? I'm swaping this into a 79 280zx, btw. Thanks for any help! Ben Edit: how can I change the typo in the title?
  18. There's a company here in Lincoln called Speedway Motors that has some aftermarket stuff for flat head V8s. Here's the link to their site. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/
  19. Lol, a friend of mine has his license plate held on with wood screws... on a Z28! I'd get ready to start working, then get nervous and walk away, so Good luck MIBPreacher. Can't wait to see it! (and the new wing looks good!)
