  1. the other issue here, is the audi transmission mounts the motor the opposite way of the fiero motor, so the V12 would be sharing space in the drivers compartment
  2. The 016 Audi transmission has proven pretty strong from what I remember in my audi modding days. However, I dont think there is room for a long V12, and O16 in a fiero. Possible reason for the audi trans could also be the availability of adapter plates that mate many engines to it. I assume they use them for dune buggys and sand rails. EDIT: I just read you wanted to use the auto. cancel all of what I just said, Except that is still more than likely wont fit
  3. im thinkin he is pointing at the thermotime switch with no wires attached to it.
  4. are you stuck on a 240z, or would a 280z be something you would be interested in? Im thinking about already selling the car I just picked up for a daily driver. PM me if you want more info. its got a tiny bit of rust in the bottom of the fenders, but is 100% solid everywhere else
  5. Watanabe RS8, two piece, 16x8 et7 front, 16x8.5 et14 rear. 225-45-16 front 225-50-16 rear. Tires are what I had laying around, and I had to see how they would fit on a Z. This is the daily driver BTW, and as such its stock ride hieght for the time being. The rears rub a tiny little bit. I will prob run a wider tire when I get them refinished, and on the project car. w/pulled fenders Oh the horible wheel gap. Im postin it anyways!
  6. I thought the new Z4 coupe was a good clone too. with the exception of the bangle lines... http://www.carbodydesign.com/archive/2005/12/12-bmw-z4-coupe/Bmw%20Z4%20Coupe%201-lg.jpg
  7. hey guys, just reading up on this thread. To get it a little more off topic. I actually have a pair of the dual bulb turn signals. I bought them off eBay a few years ago. I will post pics later as they arent at my house.
  8. It says 280z right on it I actually installed a spoiler made specifically for a 240z onto my 280z. I was also looking at the one on ebay.
  9. My dad and some of his friends were chatting about this over dinner last weekend at the track. Apperently Ivey engines in portland is having thier own oil mixed now, and its pretty reasonable @ $22 a gallon. They all have formula fords, which are solid tappet engines. I was thinking about it, realizing the Z and my DD diesel are both solid lifter/tappet as well.
  10. Its just the VW 1.6 diesel with two extra cyl. You dont see many on the road, and I assume there is a good reason for it
  11. tombarace, you are my hero 05 fz6 here. Just the leovince TI exhaust, and some tires.
  12. Thanks braap! I bought myself a daily driver 76 two weeks ago for my 'bday' present
  13. id buy the axles from you. I dont think they make adapters for them to fit the 280zx. I might also be interested in the turbo, if its in ok working order. Are the AE's 5 lug? If so the front hubs are popular to use on the earlier cars (70-78)
  14. I cant seem to find any pics post putting the bumper on, and pre folding the car up. Well you can get the idea anyways
  15. How big are the parts? Also what type of material are you wanting to use? Im a machinist myself.
