  1. I think it would be wicked in a hitch reciever, when you dont have the ball in there (duh) That is, untill you hit your shin on it trying to load stuff in the truck!
  2. I was going to say, usually I hate people not wearing helmets on bikes...... but.... well....
  3. I love the BDA, but would have chosen a different motor for a car like that.
  4. dang, I remember seeing that thing in a lower rider magazine I think.
  5. http://zhome.com/ZCMnL/tech/GearRatios.html
  6. is it a take your own tools do your own work type of yard? you could drop the diff out in under an hour and pull the cover to see.
  7. im sure there is either a single rocker to hit two valves, or two extra lobes and rockers per cyl. I cant seem to find any pics in a quick google search.
  8. Yes! Im not the only one! im tired of hearing 'go green' or 'green this/that' I think its funny, everyone says 'everything has been swapped into a Z' then this comes up!
  9. If your super worried about it, the diesel motor has a short oil pump drive, which I ran when I had the SDS. I dont think I would worry about it too much, since the shaft is spinning at half the crank speed.
  10. the last few cars ive sold off CL have gone to the first person who actually showed up to look at the car. That being said, I will usually make an apointment with someone and have them call me 15min before they are going to show. No call, I keep doing whatever I was doing. CL does have a lot of flakes, but the people who I have delt with have been pleasant. Ive purchaced cars, washer/dryer, motorcycles, and other misc items. Its been good to me. I usually dont 'chase' potential buyers, if they want the car bad enough, they can email me or call.
  11. there is a 3 cyl 1.4L tdi, if you want to put it into a tiny car.
  12. Ron's M3 would be my favorite tool in my garage (its obviously not here though!) Seriously though, ive got a few really nice ratchets that I value over everything else. Second would be my rubber mallet that is brass on one side. That hammer is great for everything. Third would be the metric ratchet combo wrenches.
  13. I cant believe people not doing the slightest ammount of market research before listing a car like that for the price.....
  14. anodizing usually looks funny on cast material, from what ive seen. There is suposedly special 'radiator' paint you can use on the cooler if you wanted to.
  15. they are around $220 shipped I believe, with the pickup.
  16. have you checked out Z specialitys in snohomish? I have had nothing but good luck with them. The only (and I mean only) reason I go to Z sport is to get gaskets on saturday when I need them, and its something they have in stock. If you are planning on modding the motor in any way at all, make sure you check with whoever rebuilds your engine to make sure that is covered as well. Thought I would throw that out since this is 'hybrid Z'
  17. Thier techs are very helpful there. They should be able to get that figured out.
  18. check out the classifieds. there is an upstanding donating member there with a really nice 280z for sale in the seattle area. There are a few other Z sites out there too
  19. The Z32 transmission is the way to go. There is already an adapter for it, and it is very similar to the RB trans. Im guessing they are cheaper as well. The bellhousing on the RB25 trans will not bolt up to the L motor.
  20. I hear a lot of people say waRshington, though there is no R in washington. Also 'caliber' rather than caliper.....
