cool, just wanted someones opinion, that has used their datsun for more then cruises and car show's. If i keep my engine I think I'm just gonna get a motor plate and line it up with the strut towers, then cut the firewall a little to move the motor up, to avoid ground clearance problems. Sound good? (also you wouldnt happen to have a huge version of that pic would you?)

My opinion is hands down, JTR, ftw! The ONLY thing JTR gives up to the Scarab is the JTR uses a different hood latch, a much cleaner hood latch vs the stock! JTR has much better engine placement for weight distribution, and the shifter for manual transmissions comes out in the stock location with the JTR. The JTR mounts are lightweight yet very strong, JTR is located in your neck of the woods, the list goes on...
Below is a picture of my first V-8 Z, JTR mounts, Chevy 350 with Iron heads, Iron water pump, World Class T-5 trans. I LOVE how the engine looks and fits in the engine bay with the JTR! Shifter was in the stock location. My 280-Z went from 50-50 weight distribution with the L-28 to 49%fr-51%rr with the JTR! Weight distribution went slightly rearward, which I feel is better than 50-50.
