  1. You want to maintain the correct angle. The fabricator I used was very careful to maintain the original geometry.
  2. Yes, that's the panel. OEM is curved. MSA replacement piece is flat going from R to L. It has the correct top to bottom curve but not the side to side. We would have to use a wheel to get the curve to OEM specifications. We ended up just doing our own fabrication.
  3. I ordered the inner wheel arches directly from Tabco I believe. BTW, we ordered the MSA rear valance piece. It's not curved like OEM so we ended up not using it. Likewise, we have extra pieces from the full rear quarters I had that I didn't use. It's pieces from the wheel arches on back towards the rear. I'll post pictures of the extra metal we have in the classified section to see if there's any interest. I have two extra rear hatches now too. One with glass, one without. Also have part of a front fender. I see you're in the UK so all this is likely moot. BTW love that UK car show, Wheeler Dealers. Those guys need to restore a 240Z.
  4. We didn't do the rear. And yes ... looks familar. How do you like yours? Any track time? What spring rates did you use with the GC's?
  5. Again, this is a link to the photos posted on the Ronin FB page. Let me know if there's any permission issue to access. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.399142260167465.95529.126418800773147&type=3 Overall a very nice and clean install. TIG on top, MIG on the bottom.
  6. This link should work to the pictures http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.393395550742136.94368.126418800773147&type=3 quarter panels, inner wheel arches, floors, front channel bits, etc. All this on a 'rust free' car. Honestly the rust wasn't that bad, but we wanted to do it right.
  7. On the interior ... what is different about the 75/76? Is it the same as a 240Z?
  8. what's the concensus on that 2.0L In-Line 6? Worth getting running?
  9. I'm in Colorado and have a gas tank and distributor for the 240Z. I also have a complete dash.
  10. EvilC ... did your gauge cluster come with a special JDM clock? I think it was called a Rally Clock.
  11. Very helpful. It confirms a few things. 1) the bumpers are the same as the 240Z. 2) I can use a LHD steering column and it should work. 3) it was FI OEM. 4) the rear tail lights are the same as USA. I have this odd 2.0L six cylinder motor that came with the car. No ... it's not the 432 motor. It has a E30 head (not a E31). Not sure if the motor for OEM for 1975. I am interested in the steering column. Please PM me a price. I am not interested in the flat top carbs, but thank you for suggesting them.
  12. OK, I know this is a long short, but hopefully someone can help Need L/R interior door panels in red Need steering column Need drivers side (actually passenger side in a US car) tail light interior piece. If anyone goes to Japan and hits the flea markets, perhaps they could be of help. The car has an original 2.0L six cylinder motor. Does anyone know what type of induction system (e.g. carbs or FI) was used in1975?
  13. I may have been discussing the cam profile with her ... she obviously wasn't impressed.
  14. Because the L6 is a babe magnet. In all seriousness, I think the L6 with triples makes for a stunning engine bay.
  15. I really like the fuel rail for the triples in the above picture. Very nice. As long as we're showing our triple linkages and set-ups ... here's mine I tried to show from all angles. I find my linkage set-up works fine.
  16. Hagerty is what I use too. I have two 240Zs, drive them very little and it was the best deal for me.
  17. give me a day to find and measure and photograph what I have ...
  18. I have some 240Z driveshafts. One came from a 1970 240Z. Will it be shorter than the other ones (all are 240Z) or does it have different flanges. They are currently for sale in the parts section. I can get you a picture if you'd like.
  19. Is there a cleaner or method to make Weber (other similar DCOE's) look clean and bright? I use an ultrasonic cleaner (large) with a solvent to clean them. This seems to work well with the various carb parts. Unfortunately the cleaning doesn't do anything for the overall finish. Still looks matte gray. Is there a brightening agent that makes the pot metal (I assume it's some sort of pot metal) look nicer?
  20. the budget is unrealistic. either buy something that needs restoration and then add your ZG fenders or be willing to pay way beyond your $9000. there are buying services for foreign car buyers. you can also pick-up a car in Australia.
  21. Jack ... geweldig! mooie auto! Your fabrication deserves a complete write-up. Hopefully you'll reveal some of your secrets.
  22. Hmm Chocolate Momo horn buttons? JDM 432 grill reproductions? Chrome-edged headlight covers?
