Sorry forgot the RS6 was right before they came out with direct injection, the new RS6 will have a twin turbo 5L V10 with direct injection. The engine produces 573 bhp (427 kW) at 6,250 to 6,700 rpm and 650 Nm (~482 ft·lb) torque from 1,500 to 6,250 rpm.

Btw this isnt really a new idea, Audi has been doing it for over 4 years..... well other than the turbos over the intake.

That is the one problem with Audi's they are heavy! But man do those engines have a good BHP/Liter ratio, with the RS4 is actually 100 BHP/Liter! 420HP(underrated too ) out of a 4.2L V8!

As far as i know, there is no RWD transmission for the Audi V8 but you might be able to remove the front drive shaft and just run it like that.

I would like to revive this thread and mention a new point. Audi has the RS4 which is a 4.2L v8 that revs to 8250rpm, now this is a accomplishment especially when i went to go look up the specs and it has a bore X stroke of 84.6mm X 92.7mm and a compression ratio of 12.5 to 1. Those are pretty close or the same as the other 4.2L from the the other Audi's, so i think we could easily mod some of these to spin really high with slight mods, some years even came with 5v per cylinder! The only issue with these engines is the transmission, im currently in the planning stages of trying to throw one of these V8's into my 240z with the 4wd. I might be contacting you Braaap in the future for some info and to acquire some of your services.

Alright so i went back today and took another picture, plus got some of me porting my intake manifold to match the intake ports on the head! But i am pretty sure the head is ported which makes sense since the previous owner had a machine shop.

Well today i was trying to figure out what the hell is going on with my fuel delivery and i took my triple Mikuni's off and i looked inside the runners from the carbs to the head and man do they need some porting. I then decided to take a look down the ports of my E-31 head, and i couldent figure out if the intake had been ported so before i left my friends house where the car currently is i took a picture with my cellphone. Excuse the crappy quality, but any input on this would be helpful.
